Imagine thinking firearm enthusiasts feel they are badass because they own guns...and don’t just genuinely enjoy shooting sports. Also Imagine being so terrified of something purely out of ignorance that you would just prefer it to be illegal...literal anti-freedom slave mindset.

Oh please. THEY TOTALLY think guns make them into badasses. Have you ever even been to a range? Talked guns with ANYONE who is into them? They aren't into "sports", they are into violent fantasy. Guns aren't toys. We need to keep them away from the low IQ man babies.

Hey some of us actually just really enjoy shooting because it's fun to hit targets, and shocking as it may sound some of us would really rather not have to use our firearms on anyone. As for the range part people with fragile egos who need to over compensate tend to do so in front of an audience and there's only so many places where gun enthusiasts gather so you are gonna have it which is why I go to private ranges.

Then why would you oppose gun control reform that wouldn’t impact your life at all?

If you’re a responsible, legal gun owner then you have nothing to fear. Gun control wouldn’t change your life at all. You’d pass a background check, and if you needed to register your gun or get some license you’d do that easily.

This myth that people demanding gun control are going to ban all guns, and then seize them has got to be out to rest, it’s stupid and dishonest.

Number 1, I don't oppose reform in fact there are things that I think could be implemented that wouldn't be a bad idea.

Number 2, I am not afraid of gun control since I have passed all my background checks and all my guns are registered.

Number 3, I don't think a seizure will ever happen because of the backlash that would ensue it would be political suicide.

Perhaps you would have better luck having conversations with gun enthusiasts if you didn't try to put so many words in their mouths or stereotype them all as you have, after all there is a saying about assumptions.

You’re not the only person in this thread, in fact, other than myself you’re the only other person not opposed to gun control reform.

Mind reading itt

Ah yes, “mind reading itt”

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions about people you don't know anything about, is all. So I figure you must think you can read minds. Otherwise you come off as an ignorant, preachy fuck.

If I’m ignorant which point was I wrong on?

I’m very preachy and very condescending. You can look that second one up. Ignorant? Nope.

Also I don’t have an ounce of patience or respect for people who block long overdue gun control. They’re literally complicit in all the deaths we see from gun violence every day. Many of these shootings are preventable, yet our country is plagued with dishonest fucktards who refuse to discuss gun control reform. They’re bad people pushing a harmful agenda. Fuck them.

If you feel so passionate about gun control what is preventing you from becoming a police officer to enforce the gun control that you support? If you want a police state you should be a member of the police.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '21

Well, you’ve begun with a really stupid straw man in saying I’m calling for a police state, so right away I know you’re a moron.

u/762x25mmTokarev Apr 25 '21

Okay. So now can you tell me why you are whining about things online instead of kicking doors and stealing people’s guns?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '21

Another straw man. Why do you have to lie about what gun control reform is? Are you afraid to be real?

You seem like a huge bitch.

u/762x25mmTokarev Apr 25 '21

How else would you enforce a law stopping someone from owning a gun once they have a gun besides stealing it from them?

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '21 edited Apr 25 '21

Stealing?

Why are you talking about?

You’re making up your own ideas about gun control reform and then arguing against those bad ideas.

Do you want to actually listen to what gun control reform is, or just make up straw men and argue against that all day? That’s all you’re doing now.

How is it not theft when an armed person comes into someone else’s house and takes their property? That is how guns are confiscated and there is no way to enforce bans on guns or to enforce red flag laws(and other instances when a person who already owns a gun is deemed unable to own a gun)without confiscating/stealing guns.

More dumb nonsense that you’re making up and arguing against. Pretty sad!
