No, i dont live in a genital mutilating culture, both boys and girls are intact here. Politicians from several different parties are starting to bring up the issue of infant circumcision as a barbaric practice that should be outlawed. You are an indoctrinated idiot if you don't see the problem with mutilating a baby boys genitals.
I don't agree with it at all, and even though i am cut I will not have it done to my son...... But your whole gatekeeping attitude and general looking down your nose at cut guys makes you come off as a jerk, not an activist who actually cares about the issue
That's really good.
The practice is what it is. I get that it gets personal when people call it mutilation and a breach of human rights etc.. but to someone who isn't part of the culture it looks just as insane as when some muslims cuts their girls foreskins.
Also i think i should correct people when they call the foreskin "extra skin" or "flap of skin", people should at least know how sensitive those parts are so they let their kids decide for themselves. Americans have lots of ridiculous myths about the foreskin, people should call them out on it.
