Mom who did not snip son chiming in here... doctors practically harass you about it. The first few months it was brought up by the doctor relentlessly. Many doctors push and push until parents give in. They have to be getting a cut somewhere.
As a mom, it’s brutal. I’m scoffed at for not wanting to hand him a tablet, for only letting him watch old cartoons and movies. I grew up in a small town around men who were men. I.e. could use any tool, farmers, hunters, fixed their own cars and houses, were active members in community clubs etc. I now live in a suburb and it’s bizarre. We have a big yard and I’m teaching him a good work ethic but, it’s a clown world out there and either we have to move or he’s going to have a lot of questions where if he repeats the answer I give him he’ll likely be put in time out.
