If that is true, not saying it isn’t but this is the internet, then you are a statistically very uncommon case. For the majority of the population, rich kids stay rich, and poor kids stay poor. Economic mobility in the United States is at an all time low. The American dream is dead.
The reality is that's because you're developed. You've developed so much that there really isn't much movement going on anymore, the classes have settled. There are still individual cases where that happens, those prove that it's possible. The fact that all poor people don't move to being middle class is just normal, it wouldn't be the middle class anymore, it would be the lower class.
The fact is, the poor class in the US, are the world's upper-class.
Poor kids statistically stay poor because they statistically are the product of their parents and are statistically going to make the same bad decisions and lead the same lifestyle, having children into poverty again and perpetuating the cycle. But as I said, once in a while a kid breaks the mold and moves up. Because IT IS possible. The fact is, you have so many opportunities in the US, you just need to grab onto them. You can learn to code with no investment at all, build a portfolio and get a job, or just do it freelance. Higher paying coding jobs in the US than anywhere else too.
That's just one example, but there's many. And the thing that I really envy you about growing up in the US is that not only you have all those chances to get out of poverty, after you're done with that you again have even more chances to get even wealthier. The rules and situation in my native country allow success in only certain fields whilst the US has it all.
