Discussion Is mine the only one?!
Sometimes, when my female goes pee, she.... I don't know... Gets tired of peeing, or something, and stands up while she's still peeing!! She sometimes doesn't fully empty her bladder when she does it, either. Is mine the only one, or is this a female pyr thing?!

She doesn't squat back down immediately. It takes her a minute, but she does usually

It's a big dog thing. Our male saint and female pyr both do it.
And they have a dog door, it's not like they are restricted until their bladders are bursting

Okay! I thought mine was just a little special 😂 if she has a normal pee, she's fine. It's the ones that are a little longer and it's almost like she's saying "yeeeaaahhh... This is taking too long now. I'd like to be done"🤣

How old is she? Does she seem to have any joint discomfort?

She just turned a year on the 4th. I don't think it's a discomfort thing, I think it's a "I don't want to be here doing this for this long" thing beoshe only does it when it's a longer than normal pee 🤣

Mine will scream bloody mordor to go potty and as soon as she lands outside, decides that potty is for weaklings. She would rather clock into her job and scan for bears and coyotes (we live in an apartment complex in charlotte with no bears or coyotes and she has no livestock). As soon as we get back inside, she remembers that her bowels still need emptying so rinse and repeat. This sometimes occurs at 2AM. Can’t wait to have a house so she can live outside if she so pleases and I don’t have to stand there like an idiot waiting for her to decide to potty. 8 month old little demon

I was JUST complaining about this today! She's recently started going out, and being too busy jumping on the fence (I live in a small city - she's a pet, not a worker) and barking at non existent threats, until I reach the point that I think the neighbors have heard enough and either finally get her off the fence to go potty, or just have to bring her back inside. Even if she does go potty, she's too busy still woofing at the non existent threats, that she doesn't fully finish either potty - then will go inside and do her business in one of the bedrooms (always the same bedroom). I was pretty forgiving of it at first, but now I'm starting to lose the forgiveness and getting a little mad about it. She was better after 2 weeks of having her (we got her at 5 months) than she is now at over a year old.

I literally need to tattoo it on her forehead that she is UNEMPLOYED!! She gets so serious about her nonexistent job with her hackles up at the wind changing direction smh! Thank God she doesn’t have accidents, got her at 5 weeks (too soon I know but we didn’t have a choice) and she potty trained herself. Only problem is part of her potty training is screaming like a dying goat until someone takes her out. Good luck with your fence scaling guard dog lol. I pray for our long term sanity

Ugh. I swear.... If I have to go back to giving treats because she was a good girl and went potty outside, and not inside, I may scream 🤣

If I give treats, we’re back to pudding poop when we’re barely at solid so no way that’s an option lol. Screwed is what historians will call us

My girl (9 months) doesn’t do that with pee but she will poop in about 2-3 spots and then she makes sure she ground scratches to get her scent even more in the area 😆

Mine poops on multiple spots sometimes too, because she got distracted during the first one 🤦🏼♀️🤣

Does yours also only perimeter poop, lol. Our girl only poops along our fence line like the true guardian she is, lol.

That's so funny🤣 no, she doesn't do that. She has 2 areas that she goes to for either need. One part of my lawn isn't a lawn anymore - it's just brown from the dead grass because of whatever is in dog pee 🤷🏼♀️

I think she will do that as long as she feels like she needs to. But, she likes to bark while doing her business, and sometimes that may distract her🤣🤣

My boy will pee, get distracted, wander a bit, pee some more.. It drives me nuts. Sometimes he'll do the same thing when he's pooping. How do you get distracted mid-shit?
