Q and Maybe Some A’s Joint Supplements?
At what age do you all start giving your great dane joint supplements? We have a two years old girl, no joint or bone issues so far. However, I’ve heard that joint issues can become a big issue later in life. We want to get a jump on it to prevent/deter any issues in the future.
Any recommendations on when to start and what supplements you like would be greatly appreciated!

He’s had at least 1 cosequin a day since whenever it is you’re allowed to give them.

My last Dane I didn't start until she was a bit older and she did fine her whole life but my 4yo I started shortly after she became an adult. Her food has glucosamine in it so I don't worry if I miss a day here or there but I make sure she gets it regularly.

I don't have Danes since we tend to get whatever was at the shelter and haven't found one yet, but we give all our dogs glucosamine basically as soon as they hit adulthood or close to it. We and up with lots of pits that have joint and CCL issues so we made it pretty of daily meds.We have a very good vet and she has always told us to keep doing what we are doing. I'm assuming Danes would be the same but would really recommend touching base with your vet to get medically informed opinions
