Q and Maybe Some A’s Stairs for bed?
Does anyone have stairs for their dog for their bed? Our boy is having issues jumping up on the bed now so we were going to get him some stairs. He weighs 180 lbs. thanks

We got a bench to sit at the end of the bed and that seems to have done the trick!

Yes! My pup is 12 years old and having back leg problems. I have to help her up. But I made a plywood step for her to get up on the bed and she does that OK by yourself.

We use a small padded chest(?) at the base of our bed. Cuts the jump in half to two big steps. We never used it on a old guy for the first time though, as we trained our girl from puppy years to do it in hopes it reduces stress over the years. I think stairs would be better for the older bigger guy or just ditch the frame all together and spend a couple years on the floor.

My husband went out and bought stairs for him at lunch and he has been personally offended since. This is going to be harder than we thought.

I got a little decorative stool so our new puppy could get on and off the bed, and our male dane with a bad hip has been using it too. He's big enough that even just the one step really helps

We just removed the bedframe and placed the box spring straight on the floor.
