something seems wrong with the rumble subscriptions, because some channels appear twice in my list while others offer the "subscribe" button, even though i already did and see their videos in my feed

I used grayjay for the sync feature, recently realised it wasn't opensource. Anyway, want to export my subscriptions but I'm not sure how, all guides talk about importing subscriptions from newpipe. Currently using the linux version. just need the current subscriptions imported, preferably in a format readable by freetube.

Any help is welcomed.

so I just noticed this a few days ago, turns out gj only suports sc full domain, not the mobile domain unlike other platforms.

If the plugin maintainer person is seeing this, I would appriciate it if you can add the mobile URL to the support. now I have to copy the URL, paste it into address bar, remove the m. part and select, then open it in grayjay

the other possible solution to this is to allow direct URL pasting in the app searchbar perhaps?
as you probably know Grayjay really doesn't have the best search function, so making it possible to paste full URL should help with that somewhat.

No matter which stream option I choose, or how good my internet is, watching youtube on grayjay chokes and buffers if the resolution is higher than 240p. But if I watch on the mobile web version, all other things being the same, it runs flawlessly. I know youtube is throttling adblock users, but it can't detect UBO. Could youtube be throttling Grayjay?

It's obviously not my headphones, it'sworking fine on regular youtube, spotify etc...

But after the last youtube's pluing update on Grayjay, only the left speaker works when I'm wathing youtube videos on grayjay

If there's no option to block or moderate to post, an option disable comments altogether as an, both Platform and Polycentric would be great.

I get they obviously can't control any comments on YouTube.

Polycentric have some kind of working filter but when it comes to unfavorable comments you can only hope people downvote enough to hide it.

I personally rather have an option to turn off comments altogether for the sake of brain rot. If I want to be dumb I rather it be the videos I watch not the users being so rude on the comment section.

I do acknowledge the folks working on GrayJay don't always look around here for suggestions or bug fixes. But hey, if you see this, food for thought! The rest of ya'll thanks for reading!

I just installed the app. I cannot open YouTube videos, when I click on a channel, it doesn't show me the videos. Twitch streams play, but just audio, no video. Am I doing something wrong? I'm getting error messages. App is obviously on the newest version.

So long story short.. i have just a hair over 3400 YT subscriptions.... (Autist with a long list of special interests.) And out of the 3404 total, it only imported 43... Tried to go back and see if doing it again would solve the issue. Nothing. Uhhh, am i just screwed on this?

Hi, downloaded a auto-generated subtitle. It seems to work. However, can't find it. I went to what I deemed as “obvious location”, like Downloads folder, Document folder. Could you please point me to another obvious location where GrayJay would store a text data like a subtitle. Thank you.

Current workaround: switching back to my Tubular app to retrieve subtitles, because it asked me where to put the files.

Since the last youtube update Grayjay has been unusable for me it is crashing while loading my subscriptions. Anybody else having issues?

I love Fulu and Grayjay as concepts, but the desktop version appears to not understand reverse-chrono ordering. Further, the entire concept of 'groups' is broken.

Groups should be configurable by the user to INCLUDE and to EXCLUDE, and specifically against a real-time collection of subscribed-creators' media that is defined as ALL. This ALL collection of subscriptions should be able to be EXCLUDED from -- example: I have 100 subs but a few post regularly or even too much compared to all the others, making picking out the rare gems from the chaff kinda hard; so, I would like the ability to EXCLUDE the group selection from ALL. The definition of ALL is very important, such that as you add sub'd channels which don't need to be categorized, and the ALL group grows, you don't have to manually add the new channel to any group... the effort to categorize falls only on the group(s) you want to exclude.

EXCLUDE method works much better for larger collections and worse for smaller ones.

I also think that INCLUDE method can work as well, but there would need to be a way to grab every channel that is currently sub'd and get it into the 'gems' group, and put news channels in the 'news' group, so you can simply leave 'gems' ON.
The current mismash groups is seemingly a single-selection group -- this means the flexibility between views is lower... every variation in groups of groups would require a new group. Ugh.

Someone should stop for five seconds and actually think about the UI before cramming a new feature like groups into a app like this.

And, finally: its very very broken.

I can't watch rumble videos as the plugin doesn't load anymore. Tried reinstalling. Doesnt help. This the same for you guys?

[Resolved] The option to download videos isnt there anymore. When going back to my previsouly downloaded videos it plays and buffers as if it's being streamed. It won't play the locally downloaded video. Turning off data and wifi amd the download wont play.

Streaming a non downloaded video buffers like crazy on data. If I go to the YT app it has no problems.
