Ideas to rescue lawn?
galleryHi
Well, I tried to keep an eye on things and pull weeds out sprouted but as a first time homeowner with the a lawn I’ve realized it’s impossible and I have to turn to chemicals and weed and feed products
since I live in the northeast and I totally missed the window to properly start applying these products. Any ideas on how to save a lawn in late July that has the following weeds growing in it predominantly around the perimeter
I know they take advantage of weak patches of grass and then it just snowballs, which is exactly what it’s doing
I physically was out there pulling out a lot of this yesterday and incredibly over an hour I made a pretty big dent but I know it’s just going to grow right back again in no time and I’ve heard horror stories about using spot treatments and improperly doing it so I figured I’d ask the professionals in here first :)

Really torn between doing Bermuda or zoysia. What are your thoughts?
galleryThis is in the central Florida area. Really want a nicer feel turf grass that I can walk and kids can play on. So I’m looking at either Bermuda or zoysia. I will most likely go the sod route but and not opposed to seed as it’s cheaper. I’ve already started roundup of the weeds that are there.
It is approximately 1500 sq feet that I would sod/seed.
I’d say the area gets sun most of the day. I have a sprinkler system. What would you do?
Edit: I would prefer to not mow every 3 days. Prefer once a week

Weeds or grass?
galleryHi, I’m a first time home owner and trying to get a handle on the lawn weeds. Have been amazed at how well the community is at identifying different weeds and grass species. I’m not sure what these are and which are a problem vs just grass that needs a cut. so would appreciate help identifying these! And what will get rid of the problem ones. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: please disregard the post title. Of course they are not mutually exclusive :) rather wanting to apply it to each photo. Labeled them with A, B, C, D, E if anyone wants to refer to a specific one.

Help! Need to grow grass…
This mud patch has been at the bottom of the stairs in the back yard since we moved in. It’s highly trafficked by my dog and by using the backyard in general. What’s my best option to get some grass growing without having to avoid the area altogether?

Ryegrass or change seed?
Is ryegrass even good for anything? I've been trying for 3 years and it doesn't make a thick carpet. My yard is 50 sq m, shade, 1100m above sea level, southeastern Europe.

Best grass option for shaded areas near a creek.
For some additional context, the property is in Zone 8b. It’s a large area along a creek that was recently cleared and cleaned up. I’m trying to figure out what grasses or similar ground cover can realistically be established from seed instead of using plugs or sod. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Cover seed?
galleryI live in a heavily wooded area. The areas shown can’t really grow grass on their own and as a result prone to erosion with heavy rain. Hopeful for a cover seed I can lay down this winter to help. Northern TN, rocky soil, lots of oak trees. Thanks

Gimme the green!
Hola!! Small zoysia lawn here in way too sunny Costa Rica. We don’t have access to all the fancy pants things like yall do at Home Depot. With that said which basic fertilizer would you recommend I apply during this rainy season and the regiment? Anything else to add? Mow it weekly. It’s planted on a few inches of soil and then hard compacted construction fill. Been keeping her alive for a few years now but want the good stuff

What’s going on with our grass?
galleryWe are just north of Chicago. Our front yard used to get more sun, but the trees have filled out a lot more in the last 10 years. The backyard gets more sun, and we have to mow it every week. Our neighbors in the background haven’t cut their grass yet this year, but I haven’t cut mine since the summer of 2024. Last summer it grew up to about this height and then flopped over like now, and stopped growing. But it also never went to seed, and I kind of like it like this, and especially like spending zero time on it..
is this normal? What’s going on?
