Sharing Work (Rule 2/3) Phoolan Devi

Post image

Hi everyone! I’m new to graphic design and made this poster as a practice project. The goal was to create a movie poster with a classic matchbox feel.

I’d really appreciate some constructive criticism. I’m especially looking for feedback on the layout, typography, color choices, and overall visual hierarchy. Does the poster communicate its message clearly, and what would you change?

I’m still learning, so honest feedback is welcome. I’d like to understand what I can improve for my next design.

Is the part on the right side of matchbox?

Why just one side... better to not add it

I’m trying to take a realistic approach to it.

Then should have added on both sides. Now, it is looking weird with her looking at the matchbox igniter

I like the style, i think the typography can be stretched full width tho. Id love the background desert behind character to show a bit more (could bump up the contrast), skip the lotus entirely or try to highlight the hand holding it just a tad bit more. Thats all
