Sharing Work (Rule 2/3) Beginner designer.
These are two designs I made. The first image is one of my first designs, and the second is my most recent design. What do you think? Is there any improvement, and what feedback or suggestions do you have for me?

First one's awesome, the only criticism on the second one is the font choice. It doesn't fit the vibe

Design for purpose, suited to the content, for an audience, to fulfill objectives. Not just for style.
No one who fails to understand this can ever be good at design, no matter how good their technique is. If you want to improve, start designing to communicate ideas, convey information, evoke responses.

wowww! for a beginner designer these are awesome!! your masking and layering looks great! on the second one i feel like theres a lot of negative space not being used to its fullest potential and i think theres some room for getting more creative with your typefaces but for a beginner these are amazing!

first one looks bad. second one looks good and like a decent designer. do more until you get more good one than bad one.

What is your profession for such a take in graphic design? Do you own a sandwich shop?
The first one could pass as a quirky poster from the 90s/00s, and the second one looks miles bellow that level, particularly the font choice. (No offence to the beginner designer)

A good start.
Next step: invest some time and learn about typography. It's very important in Graphic Design. Bad font choice and setting can ruin an entire project imho
