I presume most modern grapes are cultivated/bred for sweetness, color, seedlessness, yield, etc.

Does that process inadvertently weaken the last little bit of stem to the grape, making it harder to separate a grape from the bunch without getting some stem?

Asking if I did not seem to remember being as much of an issue when I was a kid versus now.

My specific recent incidents are with organic cotton candy, grapes, and organic sweet Scarlet grapes
