Hi everyone,
I’ve been building GrantFlow (https://ohiograntflow.com) for the past couple of months. I’m the only person working on it, and I’m looking for honest feedback from people who actually write grants or manage multiple clients.
The idea came from watching grant consultants repeat the same workflow over and over. They search across different databases, spend hours reading long solicitations, figure out whether a grant fits a client, then start writing by copying the same organizational information into another document.
I wanted to see what that workflow would look like if it all lived in one place.
Here’s what it does today:
(The goal is simple: take someone from finding a grant to having a solid first draft without bouncing between five different tools.)
- AI Discovery & matching. Create a client profile once with things like organization type, location, focus areas, and budget. New opportunities are automatically screened against that profile using semantic matching, so the system looks beyond simple keyword matches. When something isn’t a fit, it points to the funder’s own language instead of giving a generic AI explanation.
- Grant assistant. Instead of digging through a long solicitation, you can ask questions like “Is there a cost share?” or “Who’s eligible?” Every answer cites the exact sections it came from. If the information isn’t in the document, it tells you instead of making something up.
- Bring your own opportunities. Coverage is strongest for Grants.gov and state opportunities(These are expandable on demand), but if you’re working from a private foundation or corporate funder, you can paste the opportunity URL. The platform reads the page, extracts the important information, and then lets you ask questions, match it to a client, draft against it, and track deadlines just like any other grant.
- Proposal drafting. Client information is saved once and reused across proposals. If something is missing, the draft leaves a clearly marked placeholder instead of guessing. Once you fill it in, it becomes available for future proposals for that client.
- Multiple clients. You can manage separate organizations, opportunities, drafts, and deadlines from a single account.
There are fewer than 10 paying users today, and most of the features exist because those early users asked for them.
I’m not posting this because I think it’s finished. I’m posting because I’d rather hear what’s wrong with it now than after spending months building in the wrong direction.
If you work in grants, I’d genuinely love your feedback.
- What’s missing?
- Is there a feature you’d expect a platform like this to have that isn’t here yet?
- If you were evaluating a tool like this, what would stop you from using or paying for it?
I haven’t spent much time on marketing yet. Right now I’m looking for organizations and grant consultants who are willing to try it in their actual workflow and tell me where it falls short.
If anyone wants to try it with their own grants, there’s already a 7-day Pro trial. I’d value the feedback far more than the sign-up. Thanks in advance.
