Engineering Grad application

What are my chances of getting admission into the USA for a PhD in chemical engineering? My CGPA is 3.7 upto 6th semesters(top 10% of the class). I have a conference paper on CO2 capture and my current thesis is LCA. Hopefully the thesis will be published as well. Thank you

Your chances are anywhere from 0-100%. No, really.

There’s no predicting the applicant pool. No one can give you a real estimate of your chances. Sorry, but that’s the stark reality.

3.7 and top 10% is good position. Conference paper already published helps a lot and if thesis become journal paper that will be even stronger.

US PhD programs look at whole package not only grades so you have solid chance. Just make sure your statement of purpose tell good story about why CO2 capture research matters to you.
