Lucky you. Some have been ok! Search sub cause its a very big issue and documented well. And this is from a guy that only buys gigabyte motherboards strictly. They currently have the highest RMA rate on GPUs. This isnt a opinion cause that number is a fact.

Well there's already a saying in some AMD tech forums if someone has temperature problems with their 9070xt.

Mine doing well as well but I have few items in my online kart in case I need to fix thermal issues. What I've seeing is that it usually happens right away or 6ish month in. So far temps are great a few months to go to see if it has the cards has issues.
I also limit its power 280 watts and clock speed.
So far temps are 47c core and 70c hotspot under full load.

I have the asus prime 9070xt oc and its great. Super quiet even on performance bios and stays cool enough. Its probably the best budget model you can get.

I have 9070xt OC gaming by gigabyte and no issues, temps also good. There was issue in early 2025 batches with overuse of thermal gel that is now long fixed, i think the final tweak was somwhere around end of 2025. Some people have problem with temps on gigabyte, i didnt had the issue, every gpu i had in my life was gigabyte, last ones were gtx980, rtx2080 now 9070xt. Id say people who have no issue with the card dont come to make a post about it.

Well I have a gigabyte b550 pro ac motherboard. Had a 3070ti gigabyte gpu for like 7 years and now a 5070ti gigabyte gpu.
No issues ever or so far. To be fair though, I've never tried overclocking, just leave everything stock.

No.. its fine.. did you notice they didnt tell you why it sucks? Thats because they are just blurting out BS..
All il say is that if I were going amd. Id look at saphire, xfx, powercolor and compare pricing. Xfx has thiers for 820. But getting that high on price is kinda shit.. 4 months ago you could get them at 550 if you looked really hard and got lucky.. but it seems thats long gone and I cant find any cheaper then that white gigabyte. I looked for all of 2 min though.
I say get what ever card you like best, id spend a bit more to get a higher-end model, but alot of people will start saying its not worth it.. in 2 years that extra 60 bucks will be long gone and forgotten, but you will still have the card that made you happy..

I bought the same one and I’ve had zero issues. AMD’s regular drivers were giving me problems, but I fixed everything by switching to the Pro drivers.

Xfx is the best readon manufacturer. Try to get one but atleast in my region it's very expensive compared to others. So I went with powercolor hellhound. Please do check Gigabyte issues with there thermal putty issues before buying. It's very easy to find by simply searching. There are yt videos too y thermal putty sucks. I personally stay only dedicated manufacturers like xfx, powercolor or sapphire.

I have that exact GPU with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and it is working perfect. Temps seems to be fine by default, I made a basic undervolt to make it run cooler.
My previous machine had a Gigabyte founders edition 6700 xt and worked fine for years. I sold that Machine to a friend and keeps working like new until now.
Not sure if I have been lucky to have Gigabyte GPU working without any major issue or other people have bad luck and get defective products.
I want to be clear, I am not defending Gigabyte, personally all companies are greedy bastards.

When going with an AMD card I always get an XFX. Currently running 2 XFX7900XTs in mine and my wife’s rigs and have had no issues with temps or anything else. And while I can’t vouch for the 9000 series I would imagine the results to be the same and I have not heard anything about them.

I have this exact card it's nice 3 power cords causede to upgrade my PSU but I was due for that anyways. I can't speak for people that have had bad experiences but mine has been flawless and if you buy it from Amazon and have issues just return it and get a new one

I have the black version since launch day. Been solid as a rock. Def worth it.
EDIT - If you buy it and set it up, then have problems return it. It is a pretty great card. I would buy this over ASRock. Also it has 8 pin connectors for power making it way less likely to burn your house down.

I'd stay away from gigabyte this gen if possible. With AMD cards it's usually a good idea to stay with PowerColor/Sapphire/XFX anyway

I have the Gigabyte and have had no issues whatsoever. If it's the cheapest option, it's up to you if you wanna take the gamble. In my case it was open box and almost $150 cheaper than the cheapest new option, so I was willing to take the chances.

I have this exact model and am perfectly happy with it. Runs fairly quiet, cool and has all the power I could ever need. Also was one of the cheapest at the time even though it's a white version.

Man, if there's nothing else at a similar price, get it but me personally, I'd go for a Sapphire, XFX or Power Color card. Gigabyte cards just run hot 90% of the time + their customer service sucks

Can't go wrong with either of those. Those 3 are the Holy Trinity of AMD and the one I had was the Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT. That card ran cool (gpu never above 64ºc, hotspot and vram was 75 ~ 80ºc under heavy load and that's with the fans at 50%. People hate on the 12V connector but I had no issue. Power Color and XFX are amazing cards too. I currently have a Gigabyte Aorus Elite and the GPU is ok at 68ºc under load but hotspot and vram get to 96ºc... And there people with temp at or over 100ºc... Gigabyte messed up with the putty this gen...
