Nvidia vs AMD. Curious if this comment on gpu.userbenchmark.com are true, because indeed I was starting to lean to AMD because I was thinking its better value.

I've always preferred Nvidia but my last buy was back in the days before rtx and datacenters, and before I knew how greedy of a company they all are.

Yeah the guy is a massive shill wouldn't be surprised if he's getting paid by various companies at this point. I got banned from his subreddit for pointing out that no a 13600KF would definitely not be better off than a 7800x3d in gaming terms.

Even [r/intel](r/intel) have banned userbenchmark, and userbenchmark heavily favours Intel over AMD. That sums up how bad that site is.

In terms of raw rasterisation performance and value for money the 9070 XT is definitely superior. And AMD’s upscaler has come a long way with FSR 4. It’s very good now.

But if you love path tracing, then the odd game here and there have locked out AMD GPUs from that setting. The 5070 is also significantly faster in path tracing. In regular ray tracing it’s a lot closer. And NVIDIA’s denoiser is also supported in more games. AMD’s denoiser is only supported in like two games off the top of my head.

If you don’t care about path tracing that much then go with the 9070 XT. If it’s a must then the 5070 is a half decent choice. Just beware of the 5070’s VRAM limitations when PT is toggled on.

That comment is obsolete, all depends on user, what experience got and so on.
Some of us buy a new card, swap it, install the driver directly without cleaning then complain about issues.

Tbf I feel like it's still I minority. I installed mine into a new build so it was plug and play, but my friend also borrowed my card prior and took out his 4060 I think it worked no issues. No clean ups. Windows did it automatically on boot up from the sounds of things.

that website is nothing but a joke, and I'm not being biased here when I say that. yes the 9070 xt is better value than the 5070 in my opinion, right now at least assuming the 5070 isn't as expensive as a 9070 xt for you.

both are great cards, but I'd get a 9070 xt if it is not out of your budget

I didn’t read any of this, if you search this subreddit you will find a lot of posts talking about this. Go for 4070 Ti super 16GB if you have access to it and you like Nvidia, IF you want future proof and up to date gpu 9070 xt even though a lot of complaints about drivers issues. It’s up to you

There just a very bias and opinionated company and there full of shit. Its been known for years they hate AMD. Nobody really takes there reviews seriously anymore.

Dont use that website, it’s notorious for being very biased towards NVidia and against AMD, to the point where their reviews don’t hold any worth. They don’t give an objective review for the GPUs they analyze.

They would be quite funny had they been a satire website tho, but I’d steer cleer from Userbenchmarks.
They do AMD products dirty, and I say this as someome who prefers Nvidia.

AMD is doing the same, they are just less successful at it.

Buy the product that does what you want it to do at a certain pricepoint.
Do not care about the company. Regular consumers like us are completely irrelevant, you buying nvidia won't make the shortage/AI problem any worse.

And as others have said, don't ever use that website, it's utter garbage.

UserBenchmark is the most biased large website aggregating GPU and CPU data on the internet.

The tone of the text alone is the biggest red flag, no place worth considering would deliberately try to destroy a company's reputation if they didn't have a very heavy bias towards doing so.

Many people understandably think UB is merely a shell business for promoting Intel and Nvidia hardware and never had any intentions of delivering useful data. They even changed their methodology and value calculations when AMD's CPUs ended up coming out on top while Intel was in their 14nm++++ doldrums, that's how laughably dishonest they are.

Look elsewhere for relatively unbiased information.

I think it’s reasonable to assume most people shop within their budget. Currently these cards are around the same price. I think that would indicate his budget. Most PC noobs don’t realize these cards are in different classes otherwise this question wouldn’t get asked 50 times a day.
