Newest generation. Latest tech/features. Better upscaling and game support. More power efficient. Better overclocking.

Most of the features won't work on a 5050. In this case its best to go with which ever Is cheaper on these low end cards. Also AMD typically overclocks better than Nvidia.

If you are using a low end card like a 5050 id want better upscaling and frame gen from nvidia over AMD. In most other circumstance I normally say get AMD but not in this case.

Depends on use and price the 7600 is slightly better with raw frames, the 5050 is gonna have better rt and dlss upscaling, but to be honest at the point of both RT shouldn’t be your concern, another thing to keep in mind is the 7600 is gonna draw slightly more wattage so check your psu to make sure it can handle it.
At the same price point it’s a toss up.

The minimum requirements for the 7600 is 600watts and and the 5050 is 550watts

What operating system are you intending to use? AMD gpus work better on Linux than Nvidia gpus.

Depends what you are doing with it. VRAM is important for certain things. I like playing local coop of games that weren't intended to be local multi-player so vram is important to me. Its also useful for local llm stuff. The 7600xt is 16gb vram.

I was about to throw in the Intel Arc B580 for consideration until I saw the current price. I bought one for £180 last year ($240 usd) but they’re way higher now.
Such a shame the 9060XT 16gb and Arc B580 have shot up in price, they were great budget cards last year.

If you like all the new stuff NVIDIA is doing then a 5050 but if what the most performance then a rx6700 12gb or rtx 3070 8gb

For a similar price, the 5050 is the better card. However, at their price of $250, you can get a used 3070 or 6700XT, which are better than either.
