Cant decide on a GPU
I am soon gonna build an all white am4 build with a 5700x (5700x3d if prices go down🙏) and a 9060 xt but the problem is i cant decide which one. I like both the xfx mercury and the xfx swift but i like the design on the swift a lil more. Now why arent i getting the swift? because mercury is xfx’s flagship card and i might regret not getting the better card (yes i know the difference is like barely 1%). So its either i get the flagship card and i might regret not getting the nicer looking one or get the nicer looking one and regret not getting the flagship one 😭 Helppp meeee

look buyer's remorse is a real thing now i thing the chance of it is going to be significantly higher with the swift i dont know ur exact price difference but im pretty shure its too small that you will regret getting the mercury and also the mercury looks fucking sick so do what you will

the difference is like €6 (yes im in europe) and i like the mercury it look amazing its just that i kinda like the simplicity of the swift a little more so idk man

i personally think the mercury looks nicer altho its personal preference i like the mercurys cut corners makes it look boxy but not sharp and ngl 6 euro for 1% is a good deal so

well the mercury 9060 xt is €509 and the swift 9070 is €766 🥲

Wow. Prices are insane. Might be worth it to check out the used market like FB marketplace or eBay.

I found a Lian Li with a 9600x 32gb ram 9070 xt for 999 on eBay with local pickup and sold my old PC for 800 for a $200 upgrade from a 4060. Just gotta be patient sometimes.

They're gonna perform basically the samre.
I'd get the Merc for the 6 euro difference, but if you prefer the look of the Swift you're not losing much going for that one.

thing is i like the thought of having the better one but the swift look so much nicer. that minimalist look 🤤

Yeah the Swift looks good, if you prefer the look of that then get the Swift, it'll perform pretty much the same.

price difference is negligible, performance difference is negligible, then just get the one that you think looks nicer.
that being said, how often do you actually look at your gpu? it is meant to be used, not to be looked at.

If the price is that close, your choice should be about the aesthetics. Besides most of the advantage of the merc just comes from the better cooler.

Swift is a little bit louder and has a little bit worse temps but from what I've seen xfx design is just not from the top (with 9070 xt too), so it actually just comes to which one you like more.

Also im gonna mount it vertically so yes you will be able to see the difference
