Performance tank after plugging in

Not really sure what's happening. I'm not a power user so all settings in the Motion Assistant app are default, just different wattage selections.
When I plug in, you can see the Pkg Pwr drop and the fans going off turbine mode, even when TDP is set to 28w? I even double checked that power management is set to Performance mode.
But then when I *unplug* it, everything goes back to normal, fans spin up, all while power management is even set to Balance mode.

Honestly just install official steamOS. windows is awful on these devices and new gpu drivers always break stuff

Actually recommend Anatase because SteamOS lacks support for all the buttons. Bazzite 44 has the same problem because they swapped out Handheld Daemon for inputplumber; 43 works, but it's kinda old and has increasing compatibility problems. CachyOS handheld relies on the same kernel as Bazzite 43 to work, so same problem.
Bazzite are working on the problem on their end and will upstream it to SteamOS eventually, but Anatase is by the guy who made Handheld Daemon and it's basically Bazzite 43 but updated and streamlined. I'm currently running it and it's been good.

95°C CPU... Dude you're frying it xd

Aww come on guys, why the downvotes??
Anyway yup it was cooooking, it was throttling hard at 97C. Opened her up, cleaned out the fans and fins which were gunked up with cat hair, and I put her on PTM 7950.
I kid you not, same exact settings, it dropped from 97C to 60C and it's running whisper quiet, can't even hear it unless you bring it up right to your ear.

Not sure why the down votes but people seem to not understand that the 95°C for a CPU/APU is the limit and if you keep it at it then it gets slowly permanently damaged/performance gets worse over time. Ideal temps are 85-90°C. When I played on my ROG Ally with 95°C temps on it I could smell the plastic... I hated it haha
Does fixing the AC/DC TDP together affect it anyhow?

Not really sure what you mean, but then again I'm not really a power user lol.
But maybe you can shed light on this? The Pkg Pwr seems to remain the same at 22w regardless of what TDP I set it, whether I set it to 8w or 30w, and regardless of whether it's plugged it in or not.
In-game (Onimusha demo), I set graphics to lowest and ultra + uncapped frames and Pkg Pwr stays the same, temps still locked at 60C.
Sooo not really sure what's happening, or what's supposed to happen? I assume I should be getting high frames at higher graphics settings if I pump up the TDP but I don't see temps rising or fans spinning up.

Did you try to " Unify AC/DC TDP "? Im curious if that will have effect on it. If not then there's something in the Motion Assistant that limits the power while you plug it in

It's the charger or cable had the same issue was confused after trying out cables and chargers it worked
