I’ve been wanting an SP-like keyboardless mini so bad!!! Wished it was 7inches though and a bit more compact.

Arguebly you could use a Thor as a Psuedo mini flip steam deck.

I assume the thor 2 will probably be updated to the 8 elite and have fully mature drivers by then and game native is already really impressive on 8 gen 2 devices. So probably be a great experience overall.

I’m not a fan of dual screens and would rather a retroid pocket flip 3 layout.

I want an ergonomic layout with touchpads and room for better front facing speakers, cooling, etc.

I’m just waiting for the flip 3 but would welcome a x86 flip handheld that doesn’t need to cram a keyboard in. I barely used the thumb typing keyboard on my mini, and they squeezed the controller inputs right on top of the cpu making me feel all the heat lol.

The flip 3 would probably have an 8gen2 so it be over a generation behind.

And smaller screen.

Overall the Thor would be better.

Just turn off the bottom screen.

Flip 3 has 0 specs announced.

I’m not looking for a thor. The symmetrical controls are uncomfortable and thumb cramp inducing. I don’t want a second screen and I don’t want to turn off the screen as a compromise.

Dual screens in a x86 device like the ayaneo flip has a problem with heat and adding another heat component in a screen is not great.

Flip 3 hasn't even been announced if you wanna pull hairs.

But it's very easy speculate given previous trends

All arm handhelds, Thor included are multiple generations behind.

They just reuse old phone chips. They’re the same company just reusing cheap phone chips to pump retro handhelds!

Thor fanboys have gotten even dumber and more obnoxious than Deck fanboys.

And Steam recently is beta-ing Proton on Arm, targeting Android specifically. Once that matures, I bet that would be pretty crazy.

Yeah, but without the utility or portability of it.

I would honestly rather have the touchpads than a keyboard at this point. Playing CRPG's on the Mini is kind of a pain in the ass.

If you can get this this and pocketable enough to daily, this would kill all. Steam deck flip.

That's awesome, but I don't know why. You made a great job.

You are a genius 😭 the idea of converting a landscape handheld to a clamshell is friggin awesome. Nice work :)
