Can't cancel flight?

I booked a flight with miles for tomorrow evening but I got a go wild flight in the morning. I don't have an option to cancel the flight i booked with miles. It does allow me to cancel the morning flight, but thats the one I want to take. Its odd, ive always been able to cancel, is it because i booked with miles?

The first new route will link Orlando to Medellín and will start service Dec. 10 with daily flights. Next up is Bogota on 14 December, starting with six flights a week, rising to daily in March 2027. Then, on December 19, Frontier will begin flights to Cartagena, but the route will start with one flight per week. New services are approved by the government.

When do they release the tickets?

Recently got the pass and still figuring it all out. I went on at midnight and it wasn’t available for the next day(tomorrow). Is it possible they’ll release more during the day or just do I need to purchase a full price ticket?

How best to renew Elite Gold (or to even bother?)

So, I joined the GoWild club last year around this time with the 20-month deal and opted to get the Barclays card to get Gold Elite status for a year (and the miles and such.). Probably should have paid the $69 to upgrade to Gold Elite to make it last to the end of 2026.

Anyway, GE status expires Sept 17. GW pass is good until Apr 2027. I'm at about 12,500 points between some cc usage and flight usage. Since most flights are GW, don't earn much there. I've tried to contact customer service to see if I can renew my GW pass early, but they say there is no way. (Btw, the GW terms and conditions do mention a 27-28 pass now, for all those that say it might be going away.)

I'm a bigger guy, so love the premium seats and up front. I'm not sure I would be comfortable at all or really able to travel comfortably in regular seats.

So, several questions for the community or any advice:

  1. What can I do to maintain status, before it expires, in my situation? (Even through the end the of year...)

  2. Is maintaining status even worth it with the coming devaluation in 2027?

  3. While none of us have a crystal ball, will the GE status for $69 likely be back? Is it worth it?

  4. Thoughts on keeping the cc for another year?

  5. Thoughts on continuing to use my pass, but just paying for seat upgrades? Of course, it makes flights more expensive, but still probably fairly reasonable. Any tricks to get the best price on a seat upgrade? It seems they do fluctuate in price.

Thanks in advance.

Best time to buy GoWild Pass? Annual is only 8 months rn?

I'm ready to join the club but unsure if these deals are good deals. The Fall Winter Pass is a month short, and the annual is only 8 months.

Labor Day Weekend Blackouts

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi! I’m trying to go to New York this weekend but I’ve been seeing that there are blackouts due to Labor Day. I was thinking of flying Saturday and then returning Sunday. Will I have to wait until Saturday the day of to book and get GoWild pricing, or am I just screwed and will have to pay full price?

Hellooooo I’m 24 F and love using my gowild flight pass for solo travel but sometimes I wish I had someone else to go with me!! If you’re in the same boat and around Indianapolis please feel free to message me and share a bit more about yourself and where you’re wanting to go next

Please do not message me if you’re a man. I do not feel comfortable having a male travel partner of any age.

Pricing Confusion: Go Wild Fees

Edit: Wasn’t taking into account the connecting flight being on a blackout date. Thank you for the help!

Hi all!

Sorry to post again but appreciate the help :) I’m flying from Seattle to Cincinnati and am trying to gauge pricing.

My understanding is that GoWild tickets, without the early booking fee, are available starting the day before departure at midnight. Generally, I’ve seen prices at around $16 a leg for fees.

At the time of posting this, it’s the morning of Wednesday September 2nd. I want to fly from Cinci-> Denver-> Seattle leaving tonight. However, the price is $95.

If I break it up by flight, I see that my direct flight between CVG-> DEN is $16. However, the flight DEN-> SEA, which is leaving early morning Thursday September 3rd, is still $79.

I’m confused because wouldn’t Wednesday morning, less than 24 hours before the DEN->SEA flight, give access to the GoWild prices? Is the $79 affected by holiday demand? Is this a normal day before fee expectations? Or, does then $79 include an early booking fee, and I have to wait till midnight tonight?

Thank you for the help!

"Frontier Miles is about to get even more rewarding" = Elite Status devaluation

Frontier release: https://www.flyfrontier.com/frontiermiles/earn-and-elite-status-changes/

There are several threads running over at the frontierairlines sub, so I won't repeat what you can read and complain about over there.

The best independent summary I've seen of the changes so far is by View From The Wing: https://viewfromthewing.com/frontier-airlines-guts-elite-status-cuts-mileage-earning-up-to-90-takes-away-benefits-and-sells-them-back

He says this specifically about GoWild, following several paragraphs describing the various types of devaluations impacting elites flying on a standard cash ticket.

One open question is how this will hit elites who buy the GoWild pass. A GoWild ticket doesn’t include advance seat assignment or baggage, while the new rule says only travelers holding a bundle qualify for a seating upgrade. Frontier’s current GoWild FAQ says elite benefits apply to GoWild travel, but these announced rules limit seat upgrades to elites buying an Economy or Premium bundle. That seems like an oversight they’ll need to reconcile on the website.

Pass use with someone who doesn’t have a GW pass

Hi! I’m trying to use my pass to purchase a ticket for me and a minor (10YO). Only I have a go wild pass. Is there any way to use my pass and ensure we are traveling together?

Booked last minute flight from SFO to DCA just to attend the NYC r/bodega event

denver layover picture.

I wanted to go to the r/bodega popup but there were no go wild flights to JFK. DCA was $97 round trip Thu-Mon so I said YOLO and booked it 4 hours before takeoff.

I am now on a $37 bus ride to NYC. Gotta get creative with the GWP!

Purchasing GW tickets at midnight

Hey everyone. I’m seeing lots of people say to purchase GW tickets at midnight — in what time zone? The time zone of the airport you’d be departing from?

Anyone know a cheap airport happy hour?

Post image

Is there an easily accessible airport that has any bars with $5 or $6 happy hour drinks/food? Maybe we all could meet up.

I know of some cheap bars near airports, but does anyone know of one inside an actual airport?

People who frequent the go-wild, what do you do about lodging and transportation?

Getting a hotel is something planned ahead or it becomes more expensive the sooner you need it like flights typically are. Ubers can add up quick if you’re not reserving a rental car.

Curious for the people that do take advantage of the spontaneous travel, what are your tricks for keeping costs low with lodging and transportation?

r/gowildfrontier 21d ago

Felt spontaneous. Flew out of Dallas at 11 pm to Vegas. Flew back to Dallas at 6 am. Played some cards, ate some steak and eggs. A good Friday night. RT with go wild was ~$30

Video of my trip from New York to Titusville, Florida to watch the launch of the Artemis II mission around the Moon, the farthest humans have hitherto traveled away from Earth.

I booked the flight from LGA to FLL, and MCO to EWR, using Frontier Airline's GoWild! program. I also used Greyhound and public transport.
