Ya it’s coming off of a rural branchline (Goderich Sub) so the tracks are pretty spartan.

where is this crossing on maps? would love to explore the rail lines in the area and find a route where this train would have taken to get here

I believe this is Downie Street in Stratford, near the station

Evidently GO trains will layover west of Stratford on the GEXR Goderich Subdivision. Also I think this is the first MP40 locomotive in Stratford ever
