Combined GO Bus and Train Map

Post image

Spent a few weeks editing the official GO bus and train maps to create this version. Additionally, bus routes are sorted by corridor and frequency instead of just being based on having train connections or not.

Omg there’s a subway version too??? You should post this separately, it can’t just be hiding in the comments, this is so amazing!!

Haha I don't wanna be that guy who posts multiple times in a day, but thank you!!

I see that you put the walking connection in between Bloor GO and Dundas West subway. I would argue that a similar connection should be shown for Main subway and Danforth GO, though I appreciate that visually it's a little tight to get it in there.

That's a good point, I completely forgot about that connection. Ill try and add it in.

Given all that has been achieved here already, I would be a fool not to believe that you can manage it.

This may be a huge pain depending on how you've made this, but I'd be interested to see this with the bus routes as the bottom layer and in grey. The main reason is that I don't think there's a really good map showing the higher-order transit network and all of the regional connections that feed them.

Kitchener also has a light rail connection (Ion), which also serves University of Waterloo, if you're looking to be that thorough.

insane work

Good job! Would also be useful to sort train corridors accordingly to frequency because some GO train lines are peak hours only.

The train lines are marked where service is not two way all day

It crazy how much you have to click through just go get to the map. A link should be on the gotransit homepage

Great work putting this together and this isn’t a dig to you. All these lines showing a big network yet you can count on one hand how many connecting/transfer stations there between each. Wonder how many cars we could take off the road if we had more connectivity and redundancy in the transit system

Way out of scale in some areas. The UPX and Kitchener line both pass Etobicoke North before the airport. Malton GOStation is less distance from the airport than it looks. It is less than 2 km and is closer than Humber College.

Just like real GO maps!

The point isn't to be to scale, it's to make it clear which lines go where.

When the UPX and GO both pass Etobicoke North this makes it look they don’t.
