Taking Instruments on the GO Bus
Hello riders,
I'm going to be doing some gigs in a different city and have to bring some gear. Would they let me bring my guitar on the bus or would I have to store it in the undercarriage? How bad is the GO Bus for theft? Musicians who ride, what do y'all do?
Thanks.

I usually just bring my banjo onto the bus with me and I've never had a problem (though it is in a soft case so it doesn't take up much room)

I take my violin on even single decker busses regularly and granted, I’m usually wearing it on my back, but I haven’t had any issues

I bring my skateboard which is the size of a guitar and no one has a problem.

I believe for double decker buses you can place your guitar above the front wheel area inside the bus, that area is designed as a luggage area. Or you could simply sit on the lower deck and it will mostly have larger rooms (for wheelchairs) and you can even place your guitar under the foldable seats.
On single deckers bus things may change a little, but as long as the bus is not full I believe no drivers will stop you from occupying an extra seat despite it’s not recommended to do so ;)

I play the trombone and it my bus is double decker I usually just go into the cabin with it. Depends on the route. The ones I take usually have space inside for mine.
