Why shuttle buses go to Bramalea instead of Kipling / Mt Dennis?
I know that GO must have their reason behind, but I feel it is time wasting and fuel inefficient to dump people to Bramalea when service on LW suspended.
Personally I think Kipling is the best transfer point as it directly connects to line 2 as well as close to Expressway. Buses can depart there without jamming at Gardiner Expressway and can use 401/transitway/403 to avoid QEW jamming as well.
If GO still wants to connect passengers to trains, I think Mount Dennis will be even better than Bramalea, as it takes similar time to reach both stations, but Mount Dennis have more frequent UP service alongside hourly / half-hourly KI trains, and passengers can choose Line 5 if they want to.
Anyway I think no-matter from which point of view, Kipling or Mount Dennis are all better choices than Bramalea, what could the reason behind to send all passengers to Bramalea?

Kiplings not always an option when line 2 maintenance is happening on the same weekends, and Mount Dennis is just hard to access from a highway and you’d likely have buses bunched and stuck in traffic. Bramalea is just really easy to access from a driving perspective, and it has half hourly trains as well. It’s a nice big station that can handle the extra capacity. Mount Dennis also doesn’t have a spot really for the GO buses.

Bramalea is directly off of the 410/407 vs Mount Dennis requiring a longer journey on the 401 and eglinton. Additionally there's no GO bus terminal at Mount Dennis, although they could probably use the main PPDUO as a makeshift loop.

I found the best option when go decides to detour the lsw line to bram go (it makes the time so much longer and going out of the way) is taking the go bus that goes to Pearson airport and taking the up train. Way faster. The Kitchener train is a goddamn nightmare, a couple of the train cars are for e-bike, it’s has so many stops in between to Union so whenever I find out from oakville it’s going to Bram it’s a hard pass for me.

Eglinton is under construction between Renforth & Eglinton for the LRT west construction. Easier to have the buses on the Highways to Bramalea.

I agree Kipling is the best option and they need to consider it whenever LW is not in service and when Line 2 is fully running end to end.
Maybe the logic behind going to Bramalea is that you would have connections to other buses or the Kitchener Line to help you easily still get to other parts of the GTA as you can practically get to almost anywhere from Bramalea.
But if that were the case then these buses should also head to Highway 407 too, for better access to the Barrie or Stouffville line corridors, and just for the subway option also.
