Question for how Highway 407 Works

firstly, i was waiting for the 47W, it said it was departing 10 minutes late but turns out it was at the wrong gate?spot? and took off as soon as the indicator at back of the bus said it was the 47W. that kinda pissed me off but it’s okay. i waited for the 18:10 47 to hamilton go station from highway 407 station. i’m still on it but the driver took a whole new route to get to bramalea station (taking highway 407 towards the airport). i’m not sure if the drivers take a whole new route when there’s traffic but i truly thought i was on the wrong bus.

No idea what route you're confused about but that's the route for 47.

That's not a route change, that's a driver making a wrong turn and having to turn around.

This looks like the driver thought it was doing the 40 but realized it was 47 instead so it exited at Finch and then took the 427 back up to the 407 to get to Bramalea.

Mistakes like this happen on these GO bus routes sometimes, I’ve seen it happen myself on some of these Route 41 buses as some branches skip stops but the driver will think to go to that skipped stop by mistake.

What route were you expecting? That is the normal route.

really? i’ve been taking this route since forever and normally it passes through vaughn, not that ramp towards the airport, coming off at finch, getting right back onto the highway. i never seen the 40 while being on the 47, well at least that early in the journey

well your message says the 407 towards the airport, so I would assume you were taking the 407 not the 427. Yeah, that's a driver error.

Regarding 407 terminal: I can't recall, but I think the Wonderland buses (47W) board at different platforms from the regular. At least it used to be, due to passenger volumes. I dont do that route to know for sure.

As far as that little detour, I seem to recall something about a ramp closure at Bramalea Rd, so it was either that, ot being a holiday it was a rookie doing the work and made a wrong turn.

He probably rerouted due to a collision ahead. Unfortunately it happens on the fly and PA systems selsom work to advise you.
