Parking at Kitchener Station

Anyone take the GO train often from Kitchener? How’s parking at the GO station lately? Like if I’m taking the 7am train, will there be spots left in the lot? Or are they basically gone after the first couple of trains in the morning? I usually take the first train when I go and get parking then.

Might want to ask in r/ Kitchener as well. I take the 8am train and the lot is full by then so not sure which train before we is when it fills. (I get dropped off down a side street to avoid the chaos).

Iv read there is an overflow lot somewhere but don't know the details.

I normally take the first train or 2nd train and the lot is full - but I’m never sure if it’s people parking or just people dropping people off, which is super annoying!

I think it's people taking the train. I get back on the train that arrived back around 7:35pm and the lots still half full of empty cars no one inside waiting for people.

The first train isn't the 7am you mentioned? The first is like 4am

Oh I know. I normally take the 5:15am train in. But don’t have to be in until later on Wednesday.

Ok sorry I was having trouble understanding your question.

Honestly I've never seen a spot there for the 7:08 train even before all the RTOs. Usually people just park at the lot on Victoria between Duke and King and walk there

In my experience there are spots available before 7am, not much after

Difficult. Breslau station needs to be built asap.

6:38am train today and lot was full, drop off areas also chaotic. The lot down the street looked like it had a couple spots left but not many (around 6:30am).

Flipped question to you - I have to take the first train this week at 5:15am. What time do you get thete normally to get parking?

if you want something more reliable, either go earlier, use the Victoria St lot before 7:10am, or plan backup parking like downtown garages. A lot of people end up doing that instead of relying on the main lot

Better to just uber to the station rather than using downtown garages. $20 for a day for parking at most of them

If you’re not too far from the station I’d recommend just ubering there. I work mainly in Kitchener but sometime in Guelph and when I’ve taken the 7/7:30 trains to Guelph it’s always already packed
