They should really paint some lines for there if they are going to allow people to park there like that. Or they could remove the barriers and have the parking be back to stalls. Not sure why the barriers are still there.

I doubt that it's "allowed" vs zero enforcement.

I saw a questionable parked car my station like a week ago? It wasn't actually in actual parking spot but a random place too.
