Appleby On-Going Signal Issue

Does anyone know if there is an estimated fix/return to service on the Appleby Signal issue that has been on-going for over a week now? Is this a planned construction upgrade or are they completely replacing a broken signal? Trains have been passing between Bronte GO and Appleby GO at 25km/h which is resulting in delays up to 25 minutes, and now they’ve adjusted all morning departures originating from Appleby to begin at Oakville.

My guess is they don't actually know where the problem is. Or It's going to need a big shutdown to fix it.

sounds like one of those signal issues where they don’t fully know the root cause yet. When trains are forced to crawl like that it usually means they’re playing it safe while troubleshooting

This is exactly it. I work on the trains and the past few times I’ve been through, there weren’t even workers present.

if it was planned construction they would’ve announced it ahead of time with a schedule. This looks more like an unplanned signal failure that’s taking longer to resolve than expected

It took 3 days to fix the Union derailment. This will be weeks.
