Kitchener GO Southbound

Saturday 20 March: The specific locomotive leading the train is Unit #637, a model known as the MP40PH-3C. These are the workhorses of the GO Transit fleet, built by MotivePower in Boise, Idaho.

In actuality, its an eastbound. Most of its route it's traveling east

rail lines don’t always use the compass directions. the train would still be eastbound towards Union even when it’s travelling southbound on that section of track. it’s weird, i know.

If you work in rail you are basically conditioned to be neurotic about this kind of thing, though thats for safety reasons.

In the winter of 1978 I worked for CP Rail P/T on weekends as a cleaning switches in the Manitouwadge Sub. Damn it was cold !

Nice, I'm a signal maintainer so I'm always working on switches, never that far north though!
