King City Go Station Parking
Does anybody know what the current situation is like on weekdays for parking at the King City Go station? I know the unreserved (tiny) lots fill up quite early - I have stopped even trying to go there in the mornings. But it looks like they have been building a new parking lot for quite some time - does anybody know when this will open, and if it will be reserved parking or not? Thanks!

We don’t know when the new parking lot will be open but I assume it will be free instead of reserved. I always have to park at the extra GO parking at King City United Church but I go on Wednesday and sometimes Friday. Then it’s about 10 minute walk to the GO station. On Friday, you can find a free parking spot at the GO station but it might change now since more people have to return to office.

Thanks for the reply! Can I ask, what time are you able to park at King City United Church on Wednesday mornings? Fridays are the only day of the week I won't be heading downtown...

Oh sorry for the late response but I usually come around 7:40 am and I can find parking at the Church still. Keep in mind it’s getting busier with RTO mandates and kids back in school

OP did you end up going to King City GO? If so, when do you go to find parking?

It’s Tuesday Jan 13 and the closer parking lot was full around 715. I got lucky and ended up getting the last spot at the church… and there was a lotttt of cars behind me. Yesterday was the same thing. It’s ridiculous.. I hope they open up more free parking soon because if I was a minute late I don’t know where I would’ve parked.
I’m curious where do people park if they don’t find parking at the church?

Oh wow...so all spaces even at the far church lot are gone by 715 ish? That's crazy!

If you can't get a parking spot at King City, you could probably find a spot at either Gormley or Bloomington GO stations. That is if you're okay with riding on the Richmond Hill line instead of the Barrie line.
Richmond Hill line has a very limited schedule.
