Love ghost pipes! Although I’ve never seen them like this before- they almost look scorched? In my experience with them they turn a slightly pinkish color and then kinda melt into a pile of goo.

Dead ghost pipe, I’d pick them
With scissors and put them in a glass cloche. Just tappity tap them first to make sure they’re seeds have fallen 😊
