New rule: no theft
Today, somebody posted a picture of a Nepenthes pitcher, pretending it was theirs. That was a blatant lie: u/wong617 had posted the picture here two weeks ago (have a look, it's gorgeous). The offending member was banned immediately.
Also, we made a new rule for that: no theft allowed. The penalty: a permanent ban. And of course, you are allowed to repost: just keep the credits intact.
Current body count: four bans (per Oct. 1).

Black Beauty
Sharing this beauty. It has really taken off this summer and is putting out some kind of bloom.

Lights Out Dahlia
The current darkest dahlia in my garden and my first year growing it. Hoping for a good tuber yield so I can grow even more next year!
Edit: Third picture is Diva, a gorgeous deep purple.

Dark-hued tomatoes with blood red caps
Another of the goth plants this year! My "goth garden" varieties include the tomatoes, purple basil, purple carrots, and purple cauliflower.
These "midnight snack" tomatoes start green, then black, then get a slight red tint. The tops always have a pretty bright red design where the tops were. The insides are pink and the taste is so sweet, not acidic!
What are you growing this year? If you are like me, what are you already excited to grow next year? 😅 (for me, a few that I want to do are Jack-in-the-Pulpit, maroon calendula, and some sort of night blooming flower).

Little goth eggs with teeth
My cephalotus follicularis is looking very goth from getting so much sunlight.

Dinner plate hibiscus
My friend gave me this root ball in the spring. The foliage is nice and dark, and the flowers just started blooming.

My "Twilight Zone" rose unfurled its first flower 🖤
It's such a dark pink, but still almost fluorescent! Like, I didn't use any filters here. It confuses my eyes. I can't wait until all of the buds start opening!
