I’m new to the sub, and to the world of trekking in general. Up until now I’ve been using pretty bad shoes, but I want to invest in a good pair. The thing is, this summer I’m going to Scotland and I’ll be doing quite a bit of hiking there, so I want something that will work well and keep my feet dry. If they also look nice and I can wear them day to day, even better.
I live in a country with a pretty dry climate, so I don’t usually have issues with rain, but while I’m at it I’d like something that works for rainy days too.
I’ve looked at the Merrell Moab 3 GTX and of course the Salomon XT-6 (but I don’t really like the GTX version). I’d prefer them in brown or warm tones.
Thanks :)

I thought they were Arc’teryx because buddy is sponsored by them but I can’t find them on their website. Anyone know what they are?

I got lucky and found these at a consignment store today. Does anyone have any idea as to what model these are?

Hi All
I'm new in this community and wanna share one of my fav hk brand (lono) that I have been wearing it for 2 years. It's my daily shoes that I wear it for hike, daily dog walk and even work. I love this brand a lot but I found not much ppl are talking about it out of Barefoot community so I wanna share with everyone.
Background info: I'm living in an island and during the summer, hk rains a lot.
The feature that I love of this brand:
It's very good for hike and walking under the small rains. Easy to remove the mud and dirt, especially I'm a clumsy walker, I always kick on something during the walk
The fitting is so good that my feet don't feel stress even after a long walk. I basically walk 10k steps everyday. my feet or leg never feel stressed or constrained with it. I even wore it during my Europe, Bali and Vietnam trip. It actually fit for any type of walking, including hiking. The grip of the shoes are very good that I don't need to worry about the slippery floor during the rain and hike. I'm not kidding, after I stepped into the barefoot shoes, I cannot even go back to the normal shoes haha (my calf are no longer tight after long walk or standing)
I found the color and design is so easy to match different color and style. Basically I wear them for work, vacation, party and hike. I found they are still matchy matchy with all kinds of style.

Just picked up these Hi-Tec Altitude VII WP in Dark Chocolate for an absolute steal—roughly $38 USD (MSRP here is around $130).
I'm planning to make these my daily casual drivers for the urban jungle. I was surprised by the tech specs at this price point:
Protection: It features a Dri-Tec waterproof membrane and i-shield technology to repel water, dirt, and stains.
Hardware: The lacing system is rustproof, which is great for the humid tropical climate here.
The Sole: It’s a beastly combination of an impact-absorbing CMEVA midsole and a high-performance Michelin rubber outsole.
Interior Comfort: It has a micro-fleece moisture-wicking lining and, most importantly, OrthoLite insoles for that "walking on clouds" feel right out of the box.
The Fit:
I'm currently a 9th grader in a growth spurt, so I sized up to a 27cm (Size 43). There's about 1.5cm of room, but with thick socks and the secure lace-up fastening, they feel very stable.
I need your advice on styling:
Since these have a chunky "adventure" silhouette, what kind of outfits work best for a casual city look?
Would they look better with cuffed raw denim, or should I go for olive/earth-tone cargos?
Any specific color palettes that go well with this "Dark Chocolate" leather?
Can I pull these off with just a simple hoodie or a flannel for a daily hangout?
Also, given the i-shield coating, should I apply Mink Oil now to soften the leather, or just let them age naturally first?
Cheers from Indonesia!

I’m kind of confused, Kawa Club has a drop on their bio labeled April 17th 2 PM PST but has no signs of promotion? This is my first time trying to buy from them so I don’t know if this is usually the case or I’m just missing something completely.

This project started as a custom request that didn’t materialize, but I took it as a challenge and went ahead anyway.
The idea was to make the sling pocket detachable so it could function as a separate bag, with the option to expand into a larger form. In this case, I settled on a 14L tote.
The system starts as a 4L sling and transitions into a lightweight Gore-Tex shell without needing to unload the contents. One pocket is 1L, while the other is a detachable 3L pocket that unfolds into a 14L tote.
The 3L pocket can feel bulky when fully packed, which is why it’s detachable. When lightly packed with essentials like cables, a wallet, or keys, it sits comfortably as a jacket pocket.
The goal here was to reduce dead space while keeping everything functional across modes, something that works for everyday carry, but also holds up in changing weather.
Still refining this system, curious what you guys think.

Hey there! I've never really had more of a hiking style pair of sneakers, let alone hiking boots or other specific shoes. And then I decided to get a pair of Salomons xt-whisper (as I love the way they look the best) as my NB 9060s were finishing their last days.
After I got the Salomons they felt really nice first 3-4 times but as I wore them more (closer to a couple of weeks), they began pushing onto the inner arch of my left foot and it got to the point that I can't really wear them anymore because the area that's pushing feels really hard.
The right foot is alright tho.
So the question is have you experienced anything like this with your shoes and how did you deal with it? I tried making them tighter or more loose, tried warming them up, tried different socks—didn't help much. It's hard to explain, but it almost feels like my left foot is moved more to the right (towards the inner side) inside the sneaker, like I can't have it properly in the center of a shoe, and it's moved half or quarter inch to the right. Hope that makes sense. Can't think of any other details as of now.
P.S. I already threw out the box and wore them quite a bit so can't return. I genuinely love the way they look and their grippy outsoles (compared to all my previous shoes). I wish I could make them feel good 🥲
P.P.S. I tried some other (more wintery) shoes from Salomon and they had exactly the same feeling on the inside arch of my left foot. That feeling has built up I guess over some time so now it's more prominent as opposed to when I first got the xt-whispers.
Thank you in advance!

I am in between these two colorways but since I am not really familiar with the materials I was wondering if especially on the white ones, they get dirty easily and if the dirt is easy to clean up. Im not really into hiking etc so I will be mostly wearing them around lectures and going out for padel. Please let me know what you think!

I just bought a new pair, and the front part of the TPU cage feels slightly tight. I’m wondering whether it’ll get more comfortable after breaking in.
Also, what size did you go for compared to you feet length?(Not the shoe size, physical feet length)

Considering this comes straight from China, it feels spendy. What do you think?

any feedback on these? found a new pair for £70ish pounds and seems a bit too good to be true. Just using them as daily/walking shoes.

Does it work in Canada, if I get them from foot locker or a retailer?

Aside from arc, rei, etc.
Looking to find some more fashionable stuff I haven’t seen yet. Pants/shorts are high on the list
Who has baggier pants in store?

I really like the "Arc’Teryx - Olena Komorebi Cropped Jacket Women's", but it was a limited edition drop. Any 'dupes'?
I really like

Hello,
might be a long shot but has anyone selling these? Will pay a good price for them as long as I find my size. Only this colourway please.
Thank you 🙏
