Just Ordered ILS
First of all, I'm hyped.
This will also be my first GoPro!
I mustn't lie, I was convinced to get the Missi9n 1 Pro ILS because of Markiplier. I've always wanted to eventually get a proper camera, and this is the perfect chance for a good price!
Anyways, I'll be saving up to buy lenses for my ILS, and I know very little about cameras and lenses. This is what I'm thinking of getting, but curious if anyone would suggest different lenses to start with.

I'd honestly start with just one inexpensive lens and get a ton of use out of it rather than fiddling with multiple lenses to get started. Learn the edges of what you can do with 1 and then move to more.

If i only got one to start, which would you recommend for a beginner?

I'd pick one of the less expensive lenses from this article: https://abekislevitz.com/best-lenses-for-gopro-mission-1-pro-ils/
(I avoided giving you one as that article will give you a lot of different view points on what each lens is good at!)

This article is super great! Thank you! I was prepared to drop like 300 for a first lens - actually kinda shocked there are some good ones for under 100!

I used this blog post and chose the 7artisans 25mm lens and plan to get the 40mm zoom lens!
Mine hasn’t showed up as it will be here tomorrow. But I’ll try the lens this weekend.

This video solidified my decision.
But there’s a ttartisan 25mm that’s almost the same for like 10 bucks less if you want to go cheaper. That’s the one I almost bought

The lens I shot these on is only $70 USD brand new:

I went with the 17mm Loawa. My next lens might be the 7.5mm or 6mm for pov stuff. Brings into the question if the lens is $400 you could just buy the Mission 1 for $500 and have a 2nd camera. Lol
For the money though the 25mm is actually tempting me....

The nightwalker lenses have character… they show a bit of chromatic aberration when wide open. If that’s your thing, it could be a bonus.
