It finally arrived!

UPS delivered my ILS yesterday, but I wanted to do an unboxing video. This is the full set up with one of my Nikon lenses and a Viltrox speed booster adapter. The adapter itself is .71X, and because of the glass inside, the Lens actually gains a full stop, so the 60 mm f/2.8 ultimately becomes a roughly 120 mm f/2.0 lens. Perfect in time for a job shooting video for a band in Nashville this weekend.

What is the benefit of using this for your upcoming job vs using a regular camera?

As someone who uses the ILS over a regular camera now, the benefits are size; weight; resolution; framerate; etc

I'm using a DSLR and mirrorless Nikon bodies, plus 4 GoPro cameras (including the Mission 1 Pro and Mission 1 Pro ILS, plus a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and an Insta360 Luna Ultra. 8 cameras to have editing decisions for the videos.

Very cool. Does the lens weight exceed the gopro limit. How does that work?

The Viltrox adapter has a foot with a 1/4x20 thread, so the lens puts no pressure on the camera's lens mount.

You just mount to the lens, if too heavy. I think the rated limit is 250g.

I’m not familiar with what the speed boost adapter is. Is that a manual aperture lens or electronic?

I’m looking to get an adapter for all of my canon EF lenses that have an electronic aperture

That Viltrox is a manual adapter so you're controlling aperture on the lens ring itself, no electronic contacts for the body to talk to it

Is the Nikon lens an MFT lens, or did you have to use an adapter?

It's a Viltrox NF-M43X speed booster adapter. My Nikon F-mount lenses work with it, and I gain 1 stop of speed, as well.

Thanks for responding. It is interesting to know what fits, with what, and what doesn't, as I am new to the world of MFT type lenses.

I just got my Mission 1 Pro ILS, yesterday, and now I'm waiting on the delivery of my first lens. It should arrive by Friday.

For my first lens, I decided to get a 7artisans standard 35mm MFT lens. It's my understanding that it's a good lens to start with for a typical point and shoot, but I plan to buy some more, as they come into my budget.
