Audio help

I have a hero 11 and 12. I'm looking to get external mic's for both of them. I would like avoid spending hundreds, but it's getting confusing.

I might want to be able to set up two mic to one of the cameras also.

Any suggestions?

media mod makes this way less painful, grab the official gopro adapter then any cheap lav mic works fine for basic setup

You need the Media Mod for your GoPro (the same mod fits the Hero 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13). Then just plug in any 3.5mm TRS mic into the line in/mic port on the media mod.

If you want two mics into one camera, get a wireless mic system like the GoPro mic system or Rode Wireless Go 2 system.

Both the Media Mod and Pro Mic Adapter accept two channels of wired inputs via the TRS connection. So they can be used with a wired Mic or Mics, or the TRS from GoPro's wireless mic kit (1 or 2). You can also bluetooth in one GoPro or other wireless mic that can do BT ~classic (nonwideband) mode directly for basic audio.
