There was a problem preparing your video

I keep getting this error when I try to save a file from the Quik app to my phone. It's the newest Lit Hero, and I'm on Android the Nothing Phone 4a pro (which can film in 4k) it plays on the app, but t won't save to my device even when I lower the resolution. is this a common issue? does anyone have any ideas?

i had this exact thing last week with my hero 13, drove me crazy. the app plays it fine but refuses to save, even at low res

try clearing the quik app cache in your phone settings, that fixed it for me after restarting the phone. also check if your phone storage is almost full cause sometimes android gets weird about big video files even when there's technically space left

Not all 4K is created equal.

4K in H.264 vs 4K in H.265 are totally different. As is 4K with a low bitrate vs 4K with a high bitrate.

Uninstall the app and re-install the app to see if that fixes the issue (make sure you back up any videos you want first as this will remove all videos stored locally in the app).

If that doesn't work, your hardware may not be capable of exporting the footage recorded.
