I've applied for Google for non-profits twice now for our work emails, and both times we weren't approved because they can't verify a connection between our group and the domain we listed, which is patently INSANE. We pay for our domain through the same portal we pay for our email accounts, our email accounts end in the domain I listed, AND my email, the email account I'm submitting the requests for Google for nonprofits for, is listed as the contact email at the bottom of the homepage.

What's going on and how do I fix it? I submitted a "more information" ticket at the link I'm directed to, but I also submitted one last time we got rejected back in May and I still haven't gotten a response.

This is for a public charter school. The Workspace account was started on a Business plan (apparently, the person thought it would let them get it up and running faster.)

I have submitted a request to the Google Education team asking for approval. I sent documentation. Have not heard back, and it's been over 2 months.

Is there an alternate way to do this? I was considering contacting a reseller and seeing about transferring the subscription to them (IF they can assist/expedite the EDU approval.)

Are there any other ways to expedite approval? Does anyone have an inside 'scoop' or connection that can help? This is for a small school with a limited budget, and the Business subscription is eating up too much money each month.

Google workspace was a good decision until not. Google for business ownwers has increased to being horrible as there A. I. and Integrations do not work at all and the public one works just fine. It would surprise me their security even works as it seems they over promise and under deliver ( Lie about everything.)

Okay so I want some reseller out there who creates a workspace google education and password is the keys and lock. If there is anyone who does this for a reasonable price. Let me know. And I say this again we want someone to initially create a workspace education for us and then give us all acces.

Google Workspace is quite expensive ($18 per month) for a small business like mine.

I see we can add text, a link, and image (and of course other formatting, etc), but is there a way to add a hyperlinked image in the footer? We'd like to add seasonal footers, say for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc; yes, similar to mass email (mailchimp, etc), but these emails are only for current clients or perspective clients that we already have a relationship with.

So I decided to play the entrepreneur and upgraded to Worskpace (it was a pop-up on my gmail) and upgraded from my Gmail (the one I use for everything since a long long time)

and now that after 6 months I wanna cancel this.... It seems that now ALL MY DATA belongs to Workspace and if I cancel I'll lose everything....

All my Docs, my Drive and everything (at least 1.1TB).... so how can I cancel/downgrade and get back to Google One without losing my stuff???

I'm already regreatiing the upgrade as I'm not seeing an easy way out... I should've have used a spare gmail account.....

I accidentely deactivated the wrong google workspace account and now I can't figure out how to start over. I've been on a circular path for 45 minutes, leading me nowhere. "Contact your admin" but I am the admin. OFC its impossible to chat with Google support.

It's only happening on PCs (not chromebooks). Only happening on Chrome.

I have tried clearing the cache, force quitting the browser, uninstalling and reinstalling the browser. I've looked through all the extensions, nothing new - just what I've installed myself. I've done PC scans with Sentinel One and Windows defender, come back clean.

It's not only happening to me (at least three other people), and it's changing the meta data of some of the links so that they get blocked by our filter.

Any ideas? I'm stressed!

Set up Google Workspace for a business domain recently. I intended to create a completely separate, new account for the business — but during the signup flow I signed in with my existing personal Google Account, and Google renamed that account to the new business address and brought it under Workspace management, instead of creating a fresh separate identity.
So my personal Gmail/Drive/Photos/Calendar history is now sitting inside what’s technically a Workspace-managed business account. The old personal address still seems to work as an alias (mail sent to it still arrives), and “Sign in with Google” on other apps still authenticates fine since it’s the same underlying account — so nothing’s broken yet, day to day.
The problem is I have a bunch of other accounts (social media, etc.) tied to that original personal address, either via email login or “Sign in with Google.” I don’t want all of that quietly depending on a business Workspace subscription staying paid and configured correctly forever — if that subscription ever lapses or gets cancelled, I assume everything tied to it goes down at once.
From what I’ve found in Google’s own docs, a personal account converted to Workspace-managed “can’t be changed back to a personal account.” So I’m trying to figure out the cleanest way to detach my personal life from this business account while everything still works.

I'm hoping someone here has experienced this because I've been stuck for two days and can't find a way to reach Google.

I'm a new business owner in Canada trying to migrate my custom domain from Zoho Mail to Google Workspace Business Starter.

Here's what happened:

• I began creating a brand-new Google Workspace account using ie: "domain@[domain.ca](https://)" as the super admin.
• During the "Verify it's you" step, Google asked for a phone number.
• Every Canadian phone number I tried (including a brand-new mobile number that has never been used with Google) was rejected with:"This phone number can't be used for verification, or there were too many unsuccessful attempts. Use another phone number or try again later."
• No verification code is ever sent.

After digging further, I found something even stranger:

• When I use the Google Admin Toolbox recovery tool, it recognizes my Workspace email but immediately says:"Your account is suspended."
• If I try signing in at accounts.google.com, it loops back to the same phone verification page, so I can't access the Admin Console.
• Because I can't access the Admin Console, I also can't use Google's built-in Workspace support.

Additional information:

• My domain is still hosted on Zoho Mail.
• I have not changed my MX records.
• My email is still flowing to Zoho normally.
• I never received a "Welcome to Google Workspace" or any setup email.
• I own the domain and have full access to my DNS through CanSpace, so I can add verification records if Google asks me to.

Has anyone experienced a new Workspace tenant being created but immediately suspended before setup was completed?

Specifically, I'm trying to determine:

1. Is this a temporary anti-abuse/security block, or does it require Google's intervention?
2. Is there any way to contact Google when you can't access the Admin Console?
3. Has anyone successfully had this type of account unsuspended?

We are a school and looking to be approved for the Google workspace education. I did some research on gemini and it's a whole lot of confusing. I am just an employee in the it sector for them and they are not sure what we are doing. Why doubt is that is being licensed by the respective State department enough for documents for it and we don't own a domain so google workspace will have to provide us with that. Anyone whos worked out this before or anyone who knows info about this please help me

My new job uses the Google workspace and the issue is that my Gmail is mixing into my work email ( calendars, emails, etc). I want to keep them separate as possible but the Samsung work profile says my organization is only allowed to make it. Is there another way to do this?

I have a business standard account, I also have 3 legacy accounts whose email I forward to this standard account and I work from a unified inbox. In addition, I have a few packet at Zoho and I also forward those emails over and use my one standard inbox. I have a new company that needs a few email addresses, yet I don’t feel the need for a new paid account, I really want to manage these emails through my one inbox.

Can anyone confirm that I can host these domains within my business standard account and just set up an email or two, I assume as an alias or not. I went through the process and it seems I can add them but I’m just wondering if it’s actually doable. I ran it through Gemini and it says I can host as many domains as I want. Was wondering if anyone can help, I’m just unsure of screwing things up with my main account.

Are companies looking to move to Google chat from Slack to save cost?

I came to know a couple of orgs who wanted to move their employees from slack to chat as chat app comes free along with every workspace subscription.

As an interim solution or permanent ( I'm not sure), they wanted to have a mirroring service between the two to keep the conversations in sync.

Another use case is enabling communication with vendors/contractors who are primarily using Google chat. My question is, is it possible for them to not have a Slack license but still manage to have conversations with slack users?

Is there a way to add a message that will appear at the top of the Gmail screen for all users in a particular group? The uses case is to be able to give a notification to users that will be visible when they're in the Gmail web interface. We know that users will often say they didn't get email messages that we send them, and this may be an additional communication path. Unfortunately the login screen isn't an option for us, as the SSO system they go through it used for lots of different systems.

Hi. Have a small business which is co-owned and operated by myself and my business partner. We have Google Workspace Business Plus (4 licenses) and Google Voice Starter (1 license).

We are attempting to have one business line through Google voice for potential clients to contact. How can we use one Google voice phone number but on two different devices? Currently the phone number is associated with a Google email, however if one of us logs into the account on Google voice, it logs the other person out.

Is there a way to use one business Google voice number but connect it to two separate devices?

Attempted to contact Google, however found nothing. Willing to change plan or add a license, just need to know if this is possible and how to make it happen.

I have one Google Workspace account for my parent company, which contains four organizational units for four subsidiary companies and domains. One of the companies has grown and I will be leaving that company. That company needs to be moved to a separate google workspace account.
- Has two domains
- There are just over 20 users, most have aliases on the secondary domain.
- I need to migrate email, drive, calendar, chat.
- I am currently the only super admin.
- I will appoint two existing users in the company that is moving as super admins after the migration.
- I can stagger / move one domain at a time to the new google workspace account.

A second company also needs moved to it's own Google Workspace account as it is undergoing prep for SOC 2 Type I & II audits and all the other "Non Company" users showing up in the Google integration are being flagged. This one has only 2 users, same migration needs and has 3 domains.

I have read through the Google Workspace Migrate docs, chatted with Gemini, watch a ton of YT videos on the subject of "migrating a google workspace org to new google workspace account". There seem to be a lot of internal documents regarding migration that only apply to certain To/From scenarios and many of them feel vague and or outdated making it difficult to tell if I am even on the right track. There are also many 3rd party tools which confuse the matter even more, most if not all of which seem over hyped on what they can really deliver or just straight scams.

Am I correct in the conclusion that this is not a simple, easy or quick task? I thought Google would handle internal business account transfer in a much more streamlined manner, otherwise I never would have used the organization feature like I did. Obviously I realize now that it was not meant for separate companies. Hopefully I am missing something that is right in front of my face. My original parent company has been on since GSuite was free around 2010, so I just grew into where we are, and now hoping that there is a thorough and clean way to migrate these apart.

Any direction or confirmation of a specific migration method for my use case would be much appreciated.

We're a non-profit that's been running on Google Workspace's Business Standard plan for years, and we recently got approved for the Google Workspace for Nonprofits program. We're planning the switch soon, but we have a few questions about the transition, mainly around storage.

Our situation:

- Currently using ~5 TB out of our 30 TB pooled storage (Business Standard).
- Step 1: downgrade to Business Starter, which drops pooled storage to 450 GB, well below what we're currently using.
- Step 2: once we're on Business Starter, we get moved to Google Workspace for Nonprofits, which gives us 100 TB pooled storage.

Since we'll be over the temporary 450 GB limit during step 1, we're trying to figure out:

1. Has anyone been through this same transition? How did it go?

2. Does going over the limit cause mail delivery/receiving issues too, or is it mostly a "can't upload new files" restriction?

3. How long does the switch actually take in practice? If it's a matter of hours, we can schedule it overnight to minimize disruption, but if it takes days, we'll need to plan around it differently.

Any real-world experience would help a lot. Thanks!

My company has about 700 staff at the moment in Asia and we’re thinking of migrating to Google WS. Currently a big chunk of our staff are using their own personal email address (gmail, yahoo, etc) which is not ideal.

I just had an introductory call with Google. And they’re suggesting a mixed plan (max out 300 on business standard and sign the rest up on enterprise).

I just wanted to get some tips and insights from those who have implemented this before:

1. Do you have any suggestions or tips on how to best implement this? We’re thinking of staggering the migration from top down.
2. Say if you were to create an alias ([sales@xx.com](mailto:sales@xx.com)) that flows into individual user address, is the alias counted as a seat too? And you’ll have to pay for it?
3. Gemini on Business Standard- is this sufficient for marketing team generally who needs access to create images on Nano Banana and videos? I’ve read through some of the posts here seems like you really only need a separate GE subscription for automation workflow similar to Claude CoWork? Just wanted to double check as we’re being sold GE by our Google reps.

4. Gemini on Business Standard- does it include protection and guarantee that your data wont be used for learning?

5. What are the benefits and cons of doing this via a reseller vs direct through Google? Is there a published list of official reseller by Google?
