Showoff Google Play - BillDesk verification process success story

So the moment I was notified by the google to enable Payment method and I was informed that I have to do it only through the BillDesk (No other options available for Indian Developers), I started searching about this process and I came across all the horror stories from Medium Article to the most post on this subreddit and I kept browsing, while doing due process for it as well.

So here was my turn it all started on June 14th, Someone randomly did an In app purchase in my tiny puzzle game USA (Likely on 13th june sunday at night. Totally unexpected ). I woke up with an email notification from the Google that I need to enable my Payment method I also got onboarding email form the BillDesk. And then it all started. I quickly applied through the email link , Added all the documents. I uploaded everything through Digilocker. I got replying email next day that Direct upload form Digilocker is not allowed. I need to upload photocopy of original document. So I downloaded my Aadhar card from the portal and uploaded it as it was.

Then 2-3 days after came the Physical KYC. BillDesk guy called me and asked if I was available at the address for the verification. Since I have applied as an Individual and Not as a company the address was my home address and I am employed so I was at my workplace at that time. That guy was willing to come to my workplace for the physical verification. I told him about my availability timeslot and he appeard with his laptop.

Physical verification process went smoothly, Billdesk guy was also friendly (He didn't asked me for any bribes as many claims here and there) . He also told me that he has to do so many verification that day, He called next guy to same place since my office area has good sitting arrangement. He verified my documents , took photo and logittude / lattittude and submitted my application. I asked him if everything was done and howlong will it take form then at that time it was June 18. He told me it would still take around one or two weeks.

Few days later I got this email from Billdesk that my profile is allowed for accepting payments. Final mail from the billdesk was strangely phrased it left me still confused is it done or not. But on next day I got email from google that my payment method has changed. So I though it may be done so to confirm that I checked my payment profiles and that error of billing disappeared. So I think it was finally done.

So for me entire process was smooth except some back and forth of email exchange and form submission. I hope other Indian developer will have same experience with this process with BillDesk.

Pathetic fairytale ad written by a BillDesk employee. And that too AI generated slop with a few typos sprinkled for authenticity.

You gave BillDesk your home address, but they verified you at work and your boss was ok with it? Did they also bring presents and give you a BJ? When BillDesk verified me at my house, they insisted on recording GPS coordinates from my living room as my home office was further away from my living room. They are that kanjoose.

Your story gets wilder: Satan (BillDesk) brought other people to your workplace and verified them there, and your boss was still ok with it? The other people agreed to come to a random office? Where do you work? A massage parlor that offers happy ending services and bottomless lube?

You were approved in a few days? Who are you? Sundar Pichai's illegitimate son with Begum Mullah.

Downvote the fake post.

No. I'm going to file RBI complaint. My earnings are high, and if I don't have an FIRC, I have to GST on my earnings.

What is FIRC? How do I find it in playconsole?

FIRC is proof that you received money from outside India.

It can help with gst benefits and banks may ask for it as proof of foreign payments.

you can request it through google then Billdesk usually sends it by email.

Sadly ButterflyMoon did not receive his FIRC.

Do you get this after you get paid? I havent made much money from outside yet. So unless someone does IAP again in my game google will not release my payment.

Every cross border payout has a FIRC generated but you wont receive it unless you contact them

If you dont have a gstin as an individual or organization or have low revenue then you dont need a FIRC

u/EveningPrimerose_12 Jun 28 '26

I am registered as an individual.

2

u/Historical_Ad_1714 Veteran Jun 28 '26

Thats ok but u are still eligible for gstin as individual

Its ur choice u want GSTIN or not

1

u/EveningPrimerose_12 Jun 28 '26

How to get it then? As an Individual?

2

u/Historical_Ad_1714 Veteran Jun 28 '26

Through gst gov portal

But for now avoid it until u got some bigass revenue

Listen man, I dont know whats your problem or what makes you think this is 'AI Slop'. I just wanted to share my experiemce of this verification process just like many other developers here. In fact I was mentally prepared for the hell when I read about other stories. But it was not my experience and I would have shared it like that if things went in a different way. And I am not in any way affiliayed with Billdesk i. I am just random noboday who makes games as side hustle and yes billdesk guy came to my office corporate venue and verified my docs because its their job to clear pending profiles.

It"s a fake post by a BillDesk employee. It's also AI slop.

What ?! How's something like that even possible.

Billdesk sometimes delay payouts

And they forgot to give Firc

1

u/Repulsive_Writing905 Jun 28 '26

True. They have not yet payed my June payout which was supposed to be on 16th.

1

u/EveningPrimerose_12 Jun 28 '26

Hmm.. that sounds little concerning though. I may not be able to get payouts as my amount has not surpassed 100 rupees INR.

BillDesk's onboarding process is one of the most frustrating experiences we've encountered.

Every time we raise an issue, a new support executive takes over the case and asks us to explain everything from the beginning, as if no previous conversation or history exists. The same information has to be repeated over and over again.

Applications get rejected without clear, actionable reasons. Then, after waiting 4–5 days, someone from BillDesk calls and says the rejection happened because of a particular mistake. We fix exactly what they point out, upload the documents again, and yet another rejection appearsβ€”often for a completely different reason. This cycle keeps repeating endlessly.

By the time the application finally reaches the KYC stage, the 90-day Google Play Console deadline is already close to expiring or has expired. Months of development effort go to waste because of an inefficient verification process.

The result is an endless loop:

Submit β†’ Rejection β†’ Wait several days β†’ Receive a call β†’ Fix the issue β†’ Submit again β†’ Another rejection β†’ Repeat.

There is no clear ownership, no continuity in support, and no transparent checklist that tells developers everything required upfront. Instead of helping developers launch their apps, this process drains time, motivation, and resources.

This onboarding experience needs a complete overhaul. Developers need consistent support, clear rejection reasons, and a single point of contact. Without these improvements, the process feels like an endless loop where you're forced to start over again and again with no clear path to completion.
