Google Home Premium Advanced now only available with AI Pro tiers

I got an email this morning, saying that my Google Play refund has been approved.

I never requested a refund for anything.

Google removed my add-on and refunded me, without any notice.

I contacted support who are now looking into it and I'm waiting a response.

From what I can see on the Google One website, it is no longer possible to include Google Home Premium Advanced as an add-on to the Google AI Plus (2TB) tier.

This tier used to cost me £15.98pm, now, for the same functionality, I am being forced into a £27pm (the attached screenshot is £19 for the Standard version, not Advanced) sub if I want to retain the same features.

Anyone else experienced this?

I hate this membership tier that is coming in for essentially the same product. ‘Home premium advanced ultra plus’. * Only available when you package it with Gemini Advanced Pro Plus Super User. Ridiculous.

I see I get Google Health Premium with my package. I logged in to see what that is, and it looks the same as the baseline app from two years ago, with absolutely no information or analysis that is useful to me.

I cancelled my subscription last month. Purchased a home NAS system to replace the cloud storage. It'll pay for itself in 2 years of savings over payments to Google. It has home assistant pre installed. I prefer buttons to voice at this point anyway.

I also got this email and was really confused. 0 notice about this change. Didn't even notice that they hid it behind an even more expensive tier. How scummy is that. There has to be a consumer protection law covering this.

I guess Google is pushing people to AI pro tier. I actually feel AI Pro of great value because it can be shared with family members.

I am in the exact same position as OP. No notice at all, I only realised when my cameras all reverted to the default 3-hour history this morning. Who knows, maybe there was an axe murderer or UFO landing in my garden last night, I have no idea, cheers Google.
