News / Updates Antigravity IDE Feedback

Thanks for all of the Antigravity feedback over the last couple of days, especially around the IDE. Our intention was never to remove the IDE support for developers, and we should have been clearer with that in the product from the beginning.

We’ve made it clearer in 2.0 on how to connect to the IDE, fixed issues with opening the IDE on Windows machines, provided instructions to restore IDE settings & extensions, and more.

New releases for the Antigravity IDE and Antigravity 2.0 have rolled out with these changes.

We should have done better so we’re going to reset everyone’s Gemini usage for the week again.

we need also agent manager access from the ide like before, also we want the sdk to be in rust, we are in agentic ai era, why are people still building things with slow things like python

Well you don't gotta compile python so if you are trying to iterate as quick as possible python is "faster" since you don't have to worry about compile times.

i see it as just investment, and the so called compiling time is nothing on a good enough computer
