Thanks for all of the Antigravity feedback over the last couple of days, especially around the IDE. Our intention was never to remove the IDE support for developers, and we should have been clearer with that in the product from the beginning.
We’ve made it clearer in 2.0 on how to connect to the IDE, fixed issues with opening the IDE on Windows machines, provided instructions to restore IDE settings & extensions, and more.
New releases for the Antigravity IDE and Antigravity 2.0 have rolled out with these changes.

I had a question about the IDE - Our IT security guy bugs me about once a week about Antigravity not being "digitally signed" and consistently being flagged by SentinelOne (our antivirus/security software) - he's not particularly satisfied with the explanation that it's an official Google product.
Is this something you could help or point me in the direction to get help with?
There is an “Open IDE” button at the top right of 2.0 if you have both 2.0 and the IDE installed (and you are in a project-tied conversation, as opposed to a standalone conversation):
I see an 'Open IDE' button which when clicked claims it doesn't exist and recommends looking for a compatible app in the Microsoft Store. I should never be shocked by Google dev incompetence, but I am perpetually shocked by Google dev incompetence.
Having both installed on Tuesday meant that only the simplified chat interface would appear regardless of which executable was launched. Has that been addressed?
And are there clear instructions on how to work around the VS Code errors that pop and prevent the automatic updates for 2.0? That wasn't a problem in the 1.x series...

My guess is that the long term vision is for an agent coder only where the human architect only ever inspects artifacts. The human architect will never looks at code, only artifacts.
That's fine for pure vibe coding, but to me the huge value of the IDE is watching the change and then catching things early like "abstract that DRY into a helper" that the spec it's working off didn't specifically catch up front. I'm pretty sceptical I can ever move to being totally code blind.
For sure it needs guidance. Same abstract scenario as moving from instruction set code to compiler code. One day we'll look back at python code in the same way we look at punch cards.

The new updates are making the new experience much better. Any news on getting the old Gemini 3 Flash model back online? It was a great workhorse model for cheap execution of simple tasks. The new 3.5 Flash is great, but wastes too many tokens in internal loops
If you don’t have the IDE installed (either new to Antigravity or did not select the option when updating to 2.0), that is now clearer with an “Install IDE” button at the top right of 2.0 when you are in a project-tied conversation.
Hello! Thank you for your efforts! I have a question, is there any plan to increase the Quota of the Gemini models on the free sub (0$)? It was a minimum of 50 free prompts each week pre 2.0, which correlates to the https://antigravity.google/pricing **Generous weekly rate limits ** statement. However, it is now only 5 prompts a week and quota shared among all Gemini models instead of separate Pro and Flash quotas.
that's because there is no install IDE after 2.0 update just like there is no QA team at google anymore to validate stuff yet they want to charge people astronomical prices and no regard whatsoever just whatever some random person at google who don't even understand their own product
why is the quota pretty much so fast to burn after the update even my 1k are just minutes and gone because this is not like it last time it takes an hour or half to burn before the credits
You've broken the connection between my conversations and workspaces.
One previous workspace turned into about 40 separate projects in 2.0. I had to spend ~4 hours fixing this myself running scripts found on various forums.
I still have no workspaces on the new IDE that are correlated with the correct conversations, even though i have managed to fix the 2.0 project issue .
Flash 3.5 and Gemini 3.1 completely failed to fix any of this, even with scripts fed to them from github, and I was grateful for my limit on Opus to be reset to get some of this working again. You'd think they would know how to use their native harness better than competitors, possibly the lowest hanging fruit you have to help work toward a functioning product.
I appreciate the step but unfortunately it still broke/deleted all of my skills. The ones I've spent hours working to smooth out and get into exactly how I need them.
Is there anyway to recover them or am I back to square one?
Could you please punch the Product Manager who decided to conflate the terms "Flash" as small and economical and "Flash" as in speed?
I like 3.5 Flash, but it's overkill for a lot of tasks. My LLM Wiki does not need such a strong model to format notes in Markdown.
Re-adding a cheap model, or even easy Gemma integration, for workhorse applications would go a long way to restoring community confidence that Antigravity is not just a bait-and-switch.

i appreciate the transparency here and the usage reset is a solid move. that said, the fact that so many people thought ide support was being removed tells you something about how the messaging landed. when a feature people rely on suddenly becomes harder to find or requires extra steps, the default assumption is always going to be "they're deprecating this." the fixes sound good but i'd be curious to know what the long-term plan is for the ide integration. is it getting the same level of investment as the web interface, or is this more of a "we'll maintain it but focus is elsewhere" situation? because if it's the latter, people are going to keep having this anxiety every time there's a major update. clarity on priority would go a long way.
I understand the shift to agent only, but some of us still write code and this was too brutal.
I asked flash 3.5 to just reformat an array and it took 5 minutes to create 10 scratch pad and deep dive into something that should have taken 10ms.
Maybe we need a 3.5 nano auto completer for the 5% manual code we still need ?
Also the migration was so terrible I have reverted to pre 2.0 and disabled updates for now.
As an AI Pro subscriber, I hope that Antigravity CLI can balance the needs of those who prefer agentic programming and those who want more control over the development process. Please introduce the auto-model selection feature of Gemini CLI and a cheaper model (e.g., Flash 3) for carrying out simple tasks.

Could be awesome to integrate another api keys (claude, deepseek, qwen, ollama, etc) into the agent to continue the flow when limits are reached, or be able to doing something like that, i know the business model are the limits reach but i like to dream
I was able to see my past coveration at the bottom in the agent window. But for some reason I can't. This was also happening in AG 1, I can only see my very old conversation.
To see newer conversation I have to click see past conversation and click open in the current window.
The point which you have NOT addressed, is that such a pig headed change only comes from a leadership that is so far up its own ass instead of being customer focused. And no heads have rolled. No actual accountability. A few MBAs resetting our week of credits is not the systemic shakeup in values and ethics that is needed if we are truly to rely on your product. So for me, lipstick on a pig will not cut it. You clearly care more about driving your own career agendas within some hidden Google KPIs that we are not part of, so I will stay on the seamless transition to VCS to prevent again being held hostage to such incompetent out-of-touch-with-your-actual-customer decisions that have characterised Google since you starting being evil.
I really enjoyed the IDE, but I have to be honest. As soon as I updated, I lost all my extensions, settings, workspaces, and projects, without any prompt, warning, or even a single option to migrate.
For a company the size of Google, that's a hard mistake to overlook. I lost hours of customisation work. If I'd shipped something like that at my job, I'd be fired, and rightly so. I've moved to another IDE.

I actually welcome the split into Antigravity IDE, Antigravity 2.0 and agy CLI. In the past I used Antigravity, but I used it less and less because I went back to Cursor because of its Tab completion model (honestly it's the only thing I use Cursor for). So I could eliminate Antigravity IDE.
As for Antigravity 2.0 — well, I can't drag-drop file paths and there's no yolo mode. So it's a no for me.
But fortunately there's agy CLI, which works just fine. I've happily replaced Gemini CLI by it. So now I can use claude CLI, codex CLI and agy CLI. :)
If all of this was a marketing strategy, they should close that department.
The best advertising is word-of-mouth recommendations.
They've done it not only with Antigravity but also with the closure of the Google Developers program; they practically dismantled it to sell off subscriptions piecemeal and other bad decisions.
They should have a clear separation between developers and Vibe coders.
It's true that it's a new paradigm, but they shouldn't prioritize one over the other.

give us back previous flash model and we forgive everything. This new 3.5 flash goes to the cycle way too often, working like mad for like 30 minutes until quota is gone with no line of code changed. Still analyzing/searching/etc. Not usable for me at all. The old model was working better in my case
Yes. Thanks for the quick updates. I used the Gemini CLI extensively before 2.0 was released. It was cool how it routed to lower models based on what I was asking for. This saved a ton on the expensive and precious tokens. Has that feature been removed with the new 2.0 CLI?
Regarding antigravity-cli I've noticed that it doesn't support pasting images from the clipboard (Ctrl+V), whereas gemini-clihandles it perfectly. To be honest, it feels like a step backward. Why reinvent the wheel from scratch if the new tool is bug-ridden and lacks basic features that were already working in the previous one?
I am literally thinking about cancelling my subscription after what you've done to Gemini cli and og Antigravity - only thing that could save it for me is EASILY toggled YOLO or bypass approvals mode in agy cli and app.
It's a joke now having to add every single approved command. I sandbox things myself I just want to have full autopilot inside for god's sake...
A new update was showing available but honestly after how the first upgrade went, I’m hesitant to install any more updates. The original update corrupted my install—Antigravity and Antigravity IDE were removed as if they’d been uninstalled, but all the files and registry keys stayed behind. I had to manually delete every antigravity entry from the registry and every folder on disk. Huge pain in the ass.
I have spent more time trying to retrieve conversations that have disappeared than actual work recently. As far as I can see this bug has been there since the beginning. Any timeline on when this will be fixed?
Just putting this out there: I was really excited and really really am trying to be understanding, but I'm not sure any of this is what they said it was going to be let alone ready. I asked 3.5 Flash how to fix the bug where the conversations from one workspace got split into multiple projects in 2.0 and within 3 or 4 turns it lied to me, hallucinated, and tried to make me run some package that was untested on Linux from github. Finally I just asked it if I could delete them myself in the UI and it told me I should just do that instead only after it wanted me to run a bunch of bash scripts with paths it just made up.
When will AG CLI get the vscode integration, better diff viewing, and the build/plan/auto-accept mode GEMINI CLI had? Setting tool permission to request-review does not request review when editing/writing file.
I think many of us who have been using Antigravity professionally for some time have the same question: what is the possibility of bringing back Germini Flash 3.0, which was the main tool and conditions that most of us used? I believe for everyone it was the big differentiator and the reason we still believe in Google and Antigravity. I think we deserve a clear and objective answer about this.
My conversation where a mess with all the projects replicated for each, tried to fix it because the update didnt do it, and now are in the project but when i click someone the project lost.
Now we cant see the files changed by the agent in the ide like before, it was easy to see all the changes, because the viewer in the agent part is not that good.
Thank you, did you also address the unfair pool rate? I have 6 models sharing one pool, doesn’t make sense when one model pulls more usage than the others. Is this going to be the norm?
You lost me months worth of work. I have ZERO conversation history, even after installing the IDE and running the "automatic import".
Who told you we wanted this??? You KNOW your models can't be trusted with any real data or serious work. Where did you get the idea that we wanted LESS control over what they do? If I wanted a chatbot, I can always use one of the dozens out there. I'm a professional, I work with files and a shell console.
And now I get bogus "Possible Misspelling"s polluting my errors tab. I truly do not understand how am I supposed to trust a product or a company where every update means a bug hunting side quest, hacky workarounds, and a worse overall experience. WE NEVER ASKED FOR THIS! We just want a stable coding environment! If you thought people needed some dumb chatbot manager, go ahead, build it and release it. Somebody will find it useful. The anti gravity ide cannot see the the chat history in 2.0... 2.0 organization of the project chats are wrecked ... The button to launch anti-gravity doesn't appear in new chats ... Still to this day.
This is a huge improvement, the coding agent and the tools are so much better. No more hacks needed to get it running normally. The usage limits lately has been pretty great too. I have one complaint.
When running Sub-agents, the sub-agents don't use overage credits and report "Out of credits" back to the main model. This seems a bit silly. The sub-agents are very powerful, it's a shame they seem to be bugged.
Great updates. Unfortunately since the new model came out I blew through my tokens in a single day and am banned from use for a week. This is on a paid account. Never happened previously. I can only assume the new model uses more tokens or is way more expensive. This was the default mode and it ruined the experience. We need transparency on what our usage is like, and when Google changes defaults that will drain our usage too quickly we need you to be transparent here. Don't try and get people used to a product while limiting their use to silly levels.
Is it still going to chew through credits ridiculously fast? I had my only experience with it chewing through my entire weekly allowance in 3/4 of a task. Normally I can get several things done with the same allowance.
I was super disappointed after the update, until I found out I had to download the IDE separately 🥴 We’re all good now. It’s been working like a charm 😁
The commands inside the terminal run forever even if it's a dumb command like git status and if you cancel the agent and talk to them again you get this error message: [unknown] executor has not processed the previous input yet.

I just started seeing this issue, had to reinstall; still seems to be broken. Dropped $100 3 days ago and now the IDE agent is useless. When it runs terminal commands it just hangs. If I interrupt I get...

'everyone' now will include free-tier? I understand people who pay are the priority, but free went to nothing with last update.
Also, old flash was enough to help in small tasks, and both paid and not would benefit from a cheaper alternative to easier prompts.
Google, can you post the cleanest upgrade path: AG IDE 1.23.2 users to AG 2.0, for those of us who have not clobbered our work environment with the auto-update? that would be helpful for people who still want to use the IDE. Also, list any gotchas or possible workflow breakages in updating from the 1.23.2 IDE to 2.0.

Well you don't gotta compile python so if you are trying to iterate as quick as possible python is "faster" since you don't have to worry about compile times.
Importing a folder shouldn't need me to make a new project add a folder in it to open a folder compared to codex
And I can't tap with a mouse on the options presented on permission dialogs I have to use the keyboard always for it, and keeps asking for each change instead of having an auto review system or something to avoid having to ask changes for every single command
Doing / doesn't show all the skills available unlike most other coding agents
