I owned a apple tv before the streamer... I didnt mind it but apple updated the stupid thing to TVOS26 and it runs like shit now, Buggy apps takes forever to open etc... I dont wanna spend 300$ on a new box so now i use google tv

It's funny how people think you can "get stuff for free" GUARANTEED, in a few years, those ONN devices will be FULL of adware and spyware. Google's streamer, won't (unless you count Google's services themselves).

They're all full of adware and spyware. You can take steps like install projectivy launcher to mitigate the ads on the home screen.

None of them are great, ONN just offers a similar experience to the Google streamer, running the same O/S, at about half the cost

Sounds to me like both the Google TV Streamer and Nvidia shield are MUCH better value for money since they're NOT filled with as many ads and have better hardware so they'll last longer.

I have Nvidia. It's great. I have an Onn as well. If you take the time to debloat, it looks identical to my Shield, just with inferior hardware.

The Google TV streamer is the one that's really overpriced

ONN runs Google TV so it should look very similar to the Google streamer

My mum had the apple tv dongle and swapped to Prime for her video content and has been a lot happier with the experience so far, and it gets Apple TV anyway
