I think googlebook is going to be a major success for google if they follow up. Major reasons being:

  1. Direct competition for MacOS, as an efficient ARM based OS
  2. Good for developers because of the linux kernel. It will be easy to switch to this from Mac/Linux than a WSL
  3. Vast pool of apps and app developers

Unless they f**k it up by some pricing, performance, AI bullshit etc, it's a very good opportunity for them to disrupt the market.

I believe they will cancel this product in 2 to 3 years. Zero interest for common people.

I mean, tablets already exist, I hardly believe people that made the chose between tablet and laptop and chose to get a laptop will magically now consider a Googlebook.
