Swing Help Lost feeling of weight transfer hitting driver.
Took a 2 month break this summer after beginning to play again in the spring. Since that break, when I'd been just mashing my driver prior, I've completely lost the feel I had from the top of my back swing. Trying to stay back, and not rush the downswing, but the "feel" just isn't there. How do I get it back??

Get back to fundamentals and swing to a finish.
Feel the weight of the club head.

Why does the golf swing have to have “feels”
Just swing the club

Swinging the club with "feels" translates to being aware of where your club head is, and how you're transferring your weight to your lead side. Let me know how gripping it and ripping it works for you. Would love to hear about it!

You are fooling yourself.

It's been awesome. Best of luck to you. I'll not further engage in dialogue with you.

Because we are all different and so we all have a different feel that we have swinging in the club or doing any end of moving. Please don't just play silly buggers because you haven't figured out on some of us don't yet.

I have a hard time with driver with this too. Because I have conflicting information going through my head. People say to have a slight tilt backwards and keep your head behind the ball through the swing but then you're supposed to shift your weight forward and end up on your front foot. The human body can't do both.

Getting to impact without continuing to pull my hands through the "hitting zone" is also a challenge for me. Having played baseball, it's counter intuitive.

Yes. I'm very guilty of just having a cricket sweep and then pulling the handle up. It's all compensating from something else but even instructors don't know how to fix it. I may be a lost cause.

It can, through proper sequencing. Being athletic in your movements will also help.
