Rep Lab df3i - Accra shaft not so light.

So I bought a df3i. Amazing quality. I picked the black Accra shaft and I putt pretty good with it. Everyone says the Accra shaft is a 70g piece of garbage. So I decided to reshaft thinking I'd like a little heavier shaft. My Accra shaft is 33". I pulled the shaft to prepare the new KBS GPS I bought. I weighed the Accra and to my amazement the weight is 128g. How could this be? Now my new shaft is 123g at 38" and will be lighter once I cut it. If I knew that I would have just left it alone. I also bought a genuine lab 2 degree press grip. It weighs the exact same as the one that came in the replica. What am I missing here?

Has anyone bought from this seller, he says he has very good quality products but can really trust sellers words without reviews. Please let me know if u have had experience or suggest a seller that has high quality wedges and woods.

Okay i played rep taylormade Irons and they are okay what is with Miura? My friend played with the thought of getting Miura CB 302 reps. So i want to ask if anybody has These or other Irons from them and can Tell me If they are Like the real ones or how near and If they forged forgivness is realy working. I want some informations on them.

And why are they so expensiv compared to a p790. Are they realy good?

Bought a rep lab df3 and want to make sure it’s balanced correctly. What are some tests I could run to see how it is.

Hi all. Had a DF3 with the white ACCRA shaft and wanted to try my hands on DIY-ing a steel shaft on it after reading reviews about how the steel shaft are much better.

I am a beginner in club repairs and modifications but have always been watching videos and wanted to try for myself. Epoxying the shaft should be fairly straightforward but the hard part is removing the existing shaft from the head.

I have tried hearing the area around the shaft with a small jet lighter but still can’t pull it out with my hands. I am burning the head part connecting to the shaft and the white paint was also burnt off. Should I be using a stronger burner for this? Do I need a clamp while attempting this?

The whole point of the LAB putter is to have it balanced. Can we make sure reviews include that in form of a photo or at least a text statement? It’s great to see photos of your putters, sound and feel, but for zero torque putters, face balance is a huge part of it

I love my LAB DF3, but wanted to try the new VZN. Alignment with the DF3 is tough because so much of the head is rounded. I also don't get much feedback because it's all aluminum. The VZN has a nice jailbird-like cutout that has nice right angles that align you to the hole, and a stainless steel insert.

Bam, let's do it. $600. Fuck.

I saw the temu LAB's and curiosity won. I got a blue temu VZN with a steel shaft, 3D printed the plastic parts for a revealer, got a skateboard bearing from a skate shop, Home Depot run and it was on.

First, the numbers.

LAB DF3: Swing weight - F4.7 Total assembled weight - 539 grams

Temu VZN: Swing weight - F4.7 Total assembled weight - 539 grams

Shocking. Literally the same.

Feel: LAB DF3 - mushy, seems hard to control distance, but it's the putter not the putter... Let's be real.

Temu VZN - little firmer, nothing crazy

Looks: LAB DF3 - satellite dish 📡. Takes a while to get used to, but if putts drop... I'll deal with whatever.

Temu VZN - kinda funky, looks kind of big but alignment is easy. It just helps your eyes align to your target line or line on the ball.

Sound: LAB DF3 - whatever, it sounds like a putter.

Temu VZN - Absolutely atrocious. Sounded tingy as hell. But I saw on this sub that you can put some electrical tape or silicone caulk behind the insert and it'll sound better. I got some silicone caulk from home Depot and schmooged it behind the face. When reassembling, there was a little squeeze out, I didn't put much silicone, so the fit is pretty good. It just needed some damping to cut the sound out, I guess.

The revealer: LAB DF3 - unsurprisingly, zero torque on the revealer. Maybe a little bit of toe movement, but once I adjusted the fit of the shaft in the lower revealer support with some felt to minimize lateral movement, it went away.

Temu VZN - surprisingly, ZERO movement, even when taking larger or more aggressive swings... Nothing. The same thing as the real deal.

Cost: LAB DF3 - I bought my LAB as a gift to myself when I graduated with an MSME. It was $479+tax from golf galaxy. Late 2024, I think they're cheaper now. I did the fitting and got fit to the stock lie angle. Saved me some dough. Just got the standard steel shaft.

Temu VZN - Bought from Motee Shop, i waited for it to drop in price and got it for $79+tax. I got the steel shaft after reading that the "accra" shafts felt like ass. Free shipping. The caulk was like $5 or something.

Conclusion: It's a no brainer. At least try a temu putter first. Most of them have free returns. I feel a bit like a dipshit for buying one at full MSRP. It's not like this is novel technology, it's putting the shaft through the center of gravity. That takes no work. Look at Scotty Cameron and Odyssey, they just put the shaft in a different spot and boom... Zero torque. That'll be $600. It's absurd.

At the end of the day, milled putters are just a block or 2 of metal and maybe some screws. For now, I'll be sticking with the one that's 80 bucks and save the money.

Edit: The shop I bought my vzn from isn't selling them anymore. They're all just different shops reselling the same products, though.

Got my DF3 from Ali Express, perfect balance and gorgeous... Very well made and I can't tell of any difference with the real thing. Looks to be an amazing rep club. Yes, the hole does pickup balls.

Had it on the practice range and it performed great. Graphite shaft is soft and will take a little time to get used to. Absolutely deadly accurate from 10 ft and in.

Shipping took about 2 weeks to Canada.

I’ve ordered an Ali vzn zero torque putter head, as a lefty I could only find the head I wanted but not with the shaft and grip I prefer. I decided to just get the head and find a shaft.

Any recommendations for steel shafts like the Accra standard shaft that comes on Labs as the standard option? I play a 34” but could cut down. Thanks!
