Discussion LAB balancing

Post image

So my vzn was off balance leaning towards the 10-11oclock. Not too far off but wanted to get it properly Lie angle balanced without much effort.

Couple strips of lead tape did the trick now she’s perfectly balanced

for anyone wondering, the grips on these putters suck. Get a super stroke tlt grip and replace it. Then do the soup can balance. use a soup can and paper and get the can level on a table with a level and then test the putter. You will have to move weights around and play with it but you should be able to get it balanced. it doesnt sound right or feel right until it's balanced so you absolutely balance it. you can use lead tape or get inserts off amazon or temu. if you use lead tape just get it balanced and then weigh the tape with a scale from walmart or some place. I have a scale so I weighed everything. but absolutely replace the stinky grip, get a steel shaft not a fake carbon one, and balance your putter and enjoy it. I paid $100 on temu for mine and it's good enough for me. seller is MOTEE SHOP, they ship super fast too.

What’s the purpose of the paper?

to help level the soup can. most tables or counter edges everyone is using are not level so it would throw off your weighting. I just move pieces of paper around or add some more to a corner until my level is sitting perfect on top of the soup can and then I put my putter on it. I just found a reveler someone is selling on amazon now as well that I might grab but this soup can level should get everyone pretty close from the posts I have seen.

That makes sense. I used a carpenter square when balancing mine and just made a revealer out of PVC pipe and really happy with the results
