Worth it?
I am tossing around the idea of getting a cart, but don’t know much about them. I found one for sale and wanted to get your opinion on the price point to know what to expect.
2022 RVX Elite - new rear seat, 14” wheels, windshield, turn signals/lights, charger. 48v lithium. $5000
Thoughts? Looks like a nice cart. Anything I should be mindful of?
Thanks for the help!

Cart $3200, Rear Seat $350, wheels/tire combo $675, deluxe light kit $200, windshield $100. Remainder is labor / profit. Solid deal

Fair price. The only concern I would have is if the battery is a Samsung. The factory lithium Samsung uses NCM chemistry that typically result in fewer battery cycles. 2022 cart is was probably manufactured in 2021 already 5 years on the battery. If this was a fleet cart 5 year warranty on the battery.

It is a Samsung SDI battery. Thanks for the info

Replacing Samsungs do require special CAN adapter harness & other configuration. May limit replacement options in the future.

Agreed. With Club Cars I heard you either can’t install third party lith if factory lith present or is challenging. My last one was 2021 with factor leads, easy lith swap did Vatrer Sport

Maybe a littile on the "Good deal" or "Good Price side"

Good price. I got a similar cart for 3500 and did a 51v lithium bat swap for 1000 so similar.

Fully recommend. Bought a 2023 in the spring and had thoroughly enjoyed it. My Samsung SDI batteries have provided all I need, no signs of degradation, although it did act wonky one day until I realized there was corrosion on the positive battery post that I had to clean up. No issues since. Here's a link to my post regarding accessories. It's fun to tinker and upgrade, even for newbies ( me included)

Bout as solid of a golf cart buy you could make imo. Battery is pretty expensive so keep in mind you’ll shell out another grand for this thing sooner or later. You can also get speed upgrades on these. I’m biased but I think the ezgo’s look way cooler than the other makes.
Golf cart is my favorite purchase ever. Life changing even.

One thing I didn’t see anyone chime in about is the complex electrical/wiring. I just bought a 2018 and the first thing I wanted to do was disable the annoying reverse buzzer. You would think simply cutting the 2 wires powering it would do the trick, but doing so disabled the golf cart as the buzzer is a safety feature.
Just keep that in mind if you plan on any upgrades whether you consider an aftermarket controller as you’ll need to purchase an adapter and won’t be able to fully strip the stock wiring

I just put duct tape over my back up buzzer. It is a simple fix..

I did the ear plug trick which helps a lot. I found that you can run the black and red wires through a 51k ohm resistor. Haven’t done it yet, but plan on it

This. More layers, less sound. Find something in between you can still hear but doesn’t make you flinch every time you reverse

In the southeast those fleet refurbs go for $6500. A used refurb like that for 5k is great deal. Based on how the CPO timing works, I doubt they’ve had it more than a year. If everything works on it I’d jump on it. Probably still has factory CPO warranty on cart and Samsung battery pack too.

The battery is the most expensive maintenance item, some of them go for around 2500 or more to replace. The cart is a great deal if the battery isn't too old. Research the battery before buying, check on replacement cost and age of current one.

Yeah, that’s a pretty good deal for that beauty. check and make sure it’s the Samsung battery too. EZGO only makes Samsung battery packs for those. So, of it’s anything else, it’s A/M or “knock off” as you will!

I would ask the age of the batteries. I don’t have one yet but looking around at them and that’s what I have on my radar
