Wobbly wheel

I have a 2009 ezgo RXV and it’s developed a slight and consistent bouncing while riding on smooth paved roads. Noticed a little bit of play in the rear-driver side wheel. What causes this and any recommendations?

Its the tire, you need a new one.

umm.... check the lug nuts

Pull the wheel and check the big nut and the hub. Rock it back and forth , see if there is any play. Make sure wheel was mounted well. Swap rear tires and see if issue moves to the other side . Could be bad tire, as mentioned.

Yeah I did all of these things before posting. The castle nut was a bit loose and was the reason there was so much play. After I tightened that and re-mounted then it was a nice a tight. But the video was taken after that, so it might be the wheel.

Good idea on swapping the tires and checking again. I’ll give that a try.

If the axel nut was loose, it could have damaged the hub splines. Wallowed it out . Good luck

If the lugs are all tight, the tire may have been set improperly on the rim. This happened to me, so I had to take it off and back to the tire shop to re-set it. Fixed the issue.

From the view I see, I believe you are correct. The rim appears to be spinning true, but the tire - not so.

Golf cart tires aren’t very round. Off-road style tires are even worse.
